What is your go to thought process to keep from swaying? I’ll start out really strong as my confidence increases in the round, I try to step on one and sway into the ball and hit heavy. I realize the simple answer is to not try to step on em, but here we are. Tired of seeing my iron game go to shite at the end of the round.

Trail leg, weight on inside part of the foot, never have pressure on the outside.

I tuck my knee inward slightly and that helps to keep pressure where it needs to be.

What he said below but i also feel like im squatting during my backswing. Activate my glutes. Can’t really sway when you do that.

Put a golf ball under the outside of your trail foot and hit balls. Like standing on it with the outside ridge of the trail foot so that the foot is pitched forward

I was going to add this. You can slightly lift the right heel on your backswing. Seems odd, but the best ball striker in the world aka Scottie Scheffler does it.

RPB

=Right Pocket Back

This is the thought Greg Norman would use to make sure he turned properly. Feel like the back of your right hip socket (or your right butt cheek) turns behind you and points towards the target in the backswing.

Take more club.

Just kidding.

I take a practice swing with feet together to get a no sway feel.

Had the same issue and managed to fix it with similar suggestions above...

Now I can't hit a fricking tee shot worth a shite... Why do we play this game again??

Stand tall, ball back slightly, don’t drop your chest or knees through swing, try not to be too steep. The only thing a steep plane is actually good for is wedge shots inside of 50 yards. Don’t overcomplicate it.

If nothing is working, you can technically look 1-3 inches left of/in front of the ball. Sometimes simply shifting your eyes away from impact makes the entire thing more fluid and fixes the flaws caused by desperately trying to “hit the ball”, vs making a golf swing.

sway into the ball

You answered your own question. Whenever I try to step into one I concentrate on keeping my head back behind the ball. Or when hitting driver I like to sway slightly backwards and then maintain that position and turn like hell.
