Hidden Gems in the South

I was listening to the No Laying Up podcast and he was talking about playing some hidden gem in Scotland.
Are there any courses in Louisiana, East Texas, Mississippi, or Alabama that may not be "must plays" or courses that you've heard of, but are definitely courses you should play?
The one I always go to is Rock Creek in Fairhope, Alabama. Course has a lot of fun elevation and is a really good layout. Other than that course, the courses that I've liked are courses that you've heard of.
What courses should I add to my list of things I need to play?

There used to be this place called The Falls here about an hour west of Houston that fit this description to a T. Unfortunately, it got owned by one of the recent floods and did not reopen.

Mystic Creek in El Dorado, Arkansas
Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater, TX
I’m not sure how “hidden” they are but they are not discussed much.

Pine Dunes in Frankston TX (near Tyler) is supposed to be bad arse.
LINK
It’s been ranked as high as #2 on the best courses you can play (Public) in Texas, which is a pretty stout list. Weekday and Twoghlight rates there are a steal.

I heard about Mystic Creek once from a guy I picked up with on a random round in Florida. Guy was from Shreveport and told me it was nicer than Squire Creek. Haven't been, so I can't comment. But even if the guy is wrong, it at least tells me it is an awesome course.

I’ve played Mystic Creek and Squire Creek several times and there is a legit dispute as to which is better.
The overall experience at Squire is better with the facilities and the service, but many find Squire to be to punishing with greens that have too much contour to play as fast as they normally do.
Mystic is just now building a clubhouse after operating out of a temporary building since it opened. Many would argue that the layout of Mystic is better than Squire and it is a better value. While the greens are tough, they seem to be more fair than Squire.
Just to be in the same conversation with Squire should make you want to try out Mystic. Opinions vary and are often influenced by how well you play when you experience a course, but either one is worth the effort to play.

Wolf Hollow Golf Club in Wesson, MS is a fun track (no bunkers) that never gets any love.
It is featured as a Hidden Gem on Sugarloaf's Hidden Gem Project as well. LINK
It's fun to travel to and play once a year or so from Baton Rouge.

If you're ever in Houston area, The Wilderness in Lake Jackson is worth the drive.
Also side note- what app are yall using to post pictures to where they show up directly on the board instead of a link?

Tamahka Trails in Marksville, LA is one of my favorite courses in Louisiana. Great layout, not expensive at all

I don't know if it's really considered a "hidden gem" but Atchafalaya down in Morgan City is an awesome course and one of my favorites I've played down here.
