I guess his stock shot is the fade but man he really gets them way right off the tee sometimes.

he didn't have the issue before his brain trauma and almost dying. I'm guessing he is working on it.

I'm obviously talking about before the brain trauma.

then I dont know what you are talking about. The branson week, he was the most consistent driver of the group as you would expect.

Shots like this: LINK

From the Branson week as well.

I'm not saying the dude sucks, I'm just saying that his miss tendency is right. He tends to overcook the fade sometimes.

We all have off days. I’m 70% FIR and I can work it either way pretty much on command.
I can’t believe we all just let this statement go without mockery. So you hit more fairways than all but 20 PGA pros and work it both ways on command. Did you recently shoot a 46 in a scramble?

Luke does seem to only have one shot shape, he can’t draw the ball but he’s not very comfortable doing it. That’s probably why he didn’t make it as a pro, he’s got a smooth swing and he’s deadly accurate with his irons, but he can only hit a fade.

Yes. I’ve been playing for 50 years, so I ought to know how by now.

I’m also not hitting it 300+ like they are these days or swinging out of my shoes. I’m old, old guys who are pretty decent don’t miss a lot of fairways.

Couples fades about everything. There’s an old saying you can talk to a fade but a hook won’t listen.

Pro is fisking hard. I’ve played tournaments with guys who tried and couldn’t make it, and one who won The Open. It’s a different mindset the successful pros play with.

I agree with that but hitting a draw seems legitimately hard for Luke. There’s a difference between fading it whenever possible because it’s your best shot and not being able to hit a quality draw.

I’m not going to assume the age of the poster in question, BUT I have played with some seniors who don’t miss a fairway. They just don’t hit it over 175

Yea, sounds like he’s an older guy so maybe I shouldn’t have questioned it.

I just assumed old guys didn’t watch Good Good

Downhill, downwind, really hard fairways I can get it about 280.

It’s going to land about 220. It’s in god’s hands after that.

I’ve got some of their polos. Best golf shirts I’ve ever had, they don’t get clingy when you sweat.

Stephen is a complete waste of space. Puts no effort into his game, channel, or the videos in general. It’d be one thing if he was funny like a Joey Coldcuts or Bobby Fairways but he’s not. Matt is at least good.

I always assumed it was because they only planned to play 6-7 holes for the video and they would tee off after the last tee time for the course they were at. It could definitely be what you said, though. They have no responsibilities, why tee off at the crack of dawn.

In reality, they’re usually playing all day and filming content for multiple videos. Hard to be locked in all day long.

Watched a podcast with their CEO, and he said they’ll sometimes film content for an entire month in a matter of a few days.

The reason for this is that they don’t have to worry about pace of play if they’re the last tee time. Setting up camera shots, commentary, etc slows things down. Plus frequently they’re playing in larger groups

They’re also clearly being allowed to many times film on days where the course is closed to the general public
