Arkansas

No. Arkansas has one of the top courses in the world. The Alotian Club. Arkansas has tons of money and big business to support golf. Also the landscape.

Where would Southern Trace fall in the pecking order? I would say it's the best course in Shreveport-Bossier for sure.

Also, why dont we list our top 5?????? I haven't played Squire, yet, but I'll go 1st and I'll put Squire 1st.

This should start fights...

1. Squire
2. Oakbourne, sorry
3. CCLA, played it 10ish times, it's good but I prefer Oakbourne
4. Koasati
5. TPC

Never played it but I'm hearing Eastridge is pure right now.

After the work Metarie should be incredible. Evan on that flat ground. Pics are ridiculous

My Top 10 Louisiana 2021

based on this year

1. Squire Creek
2. CCL
3. Eastridge
4. Koasati Pines
5. TPC
6. Oakbourne CC
7. BRCC
8. UClub
9. LaTour
10. Ellendale

Honorable mention: Links on the Bayou, Bayou Desiard, Lake Charles CC and New Orleans CC. Metairie is under renovation, so I don't rank based on speculation and their not open. I'm not sure how Southern Trace has recovered form years of ClubCorp management so I left them off the list. New Orleans CC is always in phenomenal condition, but I find it boring and every hole looks and feels the same. Tamahka Trails renovated bunkers, and some tees and is getting better each day and will be breaking hearts on this list soon. LeTriomph is making strides to get back to its glory days also.

Squire
BRCC (was under construction)
CCLA
TPC

About 3-4 could claim 5th.

Metairie is going to be fantastic and they hired a phenomenal Pro.

When it comes to course conditions and maintenance, the Pro has nothing to do with it. They have a damn good Agronomy Team also

James Davidson owner of Squire Creek asked Fazio the designer. How much it would cost to keep Squire Creek in perfect condition after course was finished. Fazio told him 1.5 a year. Mr Davidson them put 50 million dollars in a trust for the golf course. At that point he had spent 40 million already. Last I heard he has spent 50 plus on everything now.
