What is the board's thoughts on their flight. I have a decent size backyard. Roughly 100-150 across that is clear enough for me to hit the foam balks without the going into the neighbor's yards. I have a net, but can't see the flight.

Are the flights of the foam balls to be trusted? The firmer balls with dimples? I only hit them with irons and wedges.

I can send them both ways on command so I’d imagine they’re mostly indicative of general spin influence

I wouldn't totally trust the flight of a foam ball lol but if you want some fun balls to practice with check out almost golf balls.

I have some foam practice balls I play around with in the backyard, but I don't think they are indicative of anything close to real golf balls. If a squirrel sitting on the fence farts, the foam balls get blown offline. But they're still fun to hit some wedges with.

I got some recently and hit one 100% like I do plastic wiffle balls with a wedge and it caught a drift and went about 50 yards and super high over into my neighbors yard.

The ALMOST GOLF balls are the best I have ever used.

I have 2 flags in my yard at 65 and 90 yards that I practice wedges on. I hit long irons and driver with the AG balls. Usually stay less than 100 yds with the driver and AG balls.

I think they’ll give you a general idea on a non windy day. Like a draw will draw, fade will fade, but it’s not going to give you accurate accuracy or distance control help

I am more concerned with the ball flight characteristics. I tend to pull the ball, and was wondering if I made changes to my swing and grip if I would get an idea of the affects.

Second on the Almost Golf balls. I love these things, they are amazing... you can shape shots just like a real golf ball and hang in the air, but only go 1/3 the distance. My buddies and I can hit them back and forth to each other for days.

The only place I can find them now is LINK as replacement balls for some chipping game.

A bit pricier, but so worth it and a lot of fun.

You are right... they had taken them off of Amazon for a while. I couldn't find them. Did a quick search because of this thread and there are several listed on Amazon again. 12, 24, and 36 packs. They are a little more expensive than I remember the last time I purchased.

12 pack - $25 (used to be $15)
24 pack - $40 (used to be $28)
36 pack - $60 (used to be $40)

I will still buy them at that price point because I think the balls are that good.

Good to know you can buy them on Amazon again. They must have been taken off when I was looking a few months ago
