Got invited to play here. Any members with some tips or insight about the course. When I hear Houma I don't think golf. Thanks.
Do they have kart girls?
Do they put out?
Do the greens roll true?
Etc

No
No (unless you drive F250, work offshore, wear cargo shorts, own a pair of white Costas, have multiple gold necklaces, have/do winstrol/test/deca)
Yes

Only tip is it doesn’t drain well and their money games are full of sandbaggers.

Nice course and its generally in good shape. I haven't played since the Hurricane which knocked down a ton of trees, but the only trouble is on the left side of holes. Everything right is open with no OB’s, so there being my first ever 18 to play with a single ball makes a ton of sense

Ellendale has a pretty decent bourbon selection in the bar FWIW.

You probably won’t clear the water on 11 from the tee. Play smart.

Member here. It’s a fun layout with a good variety of holes. Typically in really good shape, but keep in mind it’s the dead of winter and got 5inches of rain this week. The greens rolled really nice last Friday. They prob won’t be able to cut so prob will be slow. As other said, don’t miss left on any hole. You can make par from the right side of just about any hole. Decent food in the clubhouse. Good selection of booze and the membership is mostly baws, so no real snobbery there. Good walking course too. No long walks between greens and the next tee. Enjoy!

ETA- grab a cooler and drinks in the 19th hole. We don’t have a cart girl right now.

I tried to get a partial membership, no dice. Since I’m only here while I work, I thought I would possibly get a pro-rated rate.

I really did like the layout though.

A few years ago, you may have been able to finagle something like that, but we’re in really good shape. Added a lot of members during COVID and another local course shut down after the Hurricane.

That’s what I figured. I’d only be able to play maybe 2 rounds a months. I didn’t want the full membership when I’d be very lucky if I were able to just get in the two rounds.

Played yesterday and enjoyed the layout. One thing that stood out was the missing trees and how much more difficult it must have been before the hurricane. Greens are nice, roll true, a little slow yesterday but that’s probably due to the weather they’ve been having.

Got invited to play in a scramble tournament on the 21st, should be fun.

It is definitely a favorable golf course for someone who moves it left to right.
