Driver Off the Tee

Is killing me right now. My tempo is all screwed up. I get too quick in the transition and I spin the ball off on a massive slice. Too slow in the transition and it's a slow, massive, arching hook. Another big miss is when the tempo feels right, I'm pulling it dead straight left about 25 degrees off target line.
The rest of my game is pretty solid. Irons are playing well. Short game is there, which used to be my frustration. But 3 off the tee is killing me.
Been looking at the Orange Whip to help tempo and to warm up. Is it necessary to get the Original, or will a knock off on Amazon do the same thing for half the price?
Any input about any of this would be helpful.
Thanks boys!

Try hitting some with a super closed stance om the range or wherever you can hit 5-10. Like really pull that right foot back and you’d be surprised how different the backswing feels with turn and dropping the club down as close as possible to your body to feel that in-out. Whenever I’m slumping off the tee I do this and I’m like damn I should just do this on the course. May not work for you without seeing a swing but usually helps me get out of a funk

Funny you mention that. I tried that on the range the other day and was hitting nice tight draws.
Think I'll adjust my feet to that and slowly move it back to square.
ETA - for forever I could not hit a draw. Stock shot was a baby fade. Starting last year the right to left movement started happening.

So, lemme see if I understand. A couple weeks ago you were hitting “nice, tight draws”, now hitting massive slices?
Just curious, have you ever taken, or have considered, proper lessons?

Clubface is probably moving all over the place.
Practice clubface awareness, set a grip and get the feeling of it squared up and maintain coming down and jnto the ball. Clubface is probably open as hell coming in.
Lesson and video would see this quickly.
This is probably a takeaway issue.

If the face is open coming down your mind is gonna subconsciously move your body to try and square it last minute resulting in a hook or you realize it’s wide open at the top and your shoulders come down trying to square it.

When this starts happening to me, it’s almost always one of two things. I’ve either let my grip get too strong, or I’ve got the ball too far forward.
It sucks because when I do this, just a dead pull left, the ball is absolutely frickin hammered, so there’s almost no chance of finding it. A slice will go short and die. A dead pull goes for days

This.
A pro mentioned this to me when I was hooking. My grip is too tight and my trail arm is leading. When I became cognizant of this, it did correct my hooking.

The hook and push slice two way miss screams across the line.

Release the tension will help with tempo

You’re probably gripping it like you’re choking a chicken and then trying to swing to hard and cutting across the ball.
Lighten your grip, slow down, hit a smooth swing.

I've been guilty of this in the past and I think this is it. Couple this with takeaway issues that set me up in that position in the back swing. I'm probably doing this, fighting it, and am all over the place as a result.

If you can cultivate a consistent shape. Whether it’s right to left or left to right how I change the shape is change the plane.
More upright, fade. Flatten it out, draw.
