Lets get this right.

You call the winner goofy because you had a feeling it was meant to be that woods would win.

Which player won 2 tournaments this past month? That's prior to today. Molinari.

Which player finished 2nd last week? Molinari?

Molinari finished 1st 3 times in his last 5 appearances and 2nd the other two appearances.

Who is the goofy one?

People been saying for 6 years that tiger is back. Tiger is not back. Tiger won’t ever be back. He doesn’t love mommy anymore and he isn’t coming home and it’s all you damn kids fault

Hia back 9 just wasn't where it needed to be.

The double on 11 really hurt. It took the steam out of him coming down the stretch...

Great tournament though. Glad to see him playing so well and making the haters nervous..

Totally agree. He will never be back to what he was 15 years ago and neither will anyone else. Just be glad you were here to see it

This is a entirely new Tiger. Not at that level anymore but at a level that can win.

It's going to be very difficult for someone to ever be as dominant as Tiger was.

Are you saying we will?

He had arguably the best run in the history of golf from 99-2008.

Jack may have Tiger in longevity, but peak Tiger was nothing anyone has seen before

Jordan Speith already has more missed cuts than Tiger has at 24 years old.

It will be certainly very few and far between but yes, it's likely at some point, although there's no telling when. Why wouldn't it be? Someone will come along and even if they don't quite achieve Tiger's feats, the argument will be just as it is now...better competition, better equipment, etc etc. just like all the people do with the Tiger vs Nicklaus arguments now. Don't you think people were saying this about Nicklaus before the Tiger era? Peak Michael Jordan was something no one had ever seen before. In 1997 it would have just about been unthinkable to even debate it. Fast forward to now...there's been almost a daily thread on here arguing just that point...I won't get into that.

I won't even argue it.

How many times have you seen a player playing with tiger on the final day of a major kick his arse? I hang up and listen. Crickets.

It's hilarious when people let their hate for Tiger completely cloud their judgement. This is more emotionally based reason than a girl on her period.

Celebrating a top 10 finish.
Tied for 6th at 5 under

Tied for 6th is 3rd tier
1 Molinari
2 3 4 5 -6s
Tiger with the other -5s

Double bogey.
If he had made par instead he would have got the 1st runner-up trophy.

He did not win. He had the lead and immediately double bogeyd like the lead burned in his grasp.

If you look at a career, it pretty obvious that Tiger is the greatest player ever. However, I definitely agree with you here. Athletes are getting better in every sport. Golf is more available to the average Joe and people are looking at alternatives to contact sports. There's a good chance someone will never be as dominant as Tiger since he was so much ahead of his time. I just feel ONE DAY you'll have someone that puts it all together because of the amount of talent now compared to even 20 years ago. This Ashkay Bahita kid is setting the world on fire in junior golf and breaking all kinds of records. It's might not be him but chances are you see someone in the next 50 years that is better.

And he had about a 6' putt on 18 that would have gotten him in a playoff had Molinari not played flawless golf.

I thought he played really well on Saturday and Sunday. I would like to have seen him be a little more aggressive on Thursday and Friday.

Best weekend score of anyone in the field besides Rose and Molinari... Pretty decent for an old guy.

How many times has Tiger won a major when trailing after 54 holes? I'll hang up and listen.

He never did it at his peak and y'all think he might do it at 41 after countless knee and back surgeries?

Tiger will never be back to the dominate player he once was. Hoever, he has played decent in several events and I think he did a great job at the Open. Will Tiger ever win another major? Doubtful but I would never close the door on it. Until he made a couple mistakes yesterday afternoon, he was the leader and had the opportunity to potentially win the Open. I do however, think he will win again on the tour.
