Are you 6'4+ or short than 5'6? Then you may want to get fitted. If not then I wouldn't worry about it until you get better. Bc once you get fitted you'll want to invest into some nice irons.

IMO…. A basic fitting (grip, length, materials) is okay for beginning or occasional golfers.

I’d be cautious about an advanced fitting with loft and angle adjusting, etc. if you plan to improve your swing or take lessons, etc.

I hit a driver like a 4-5 iron. Am I doing this wrong?

The driver does have a different setup and swing than the irons. I struggle with the driver because of this.

I was killing my driver the best I ever have and then I put nearly all my emphasis on my iron game. Suddenly I could not hit the driver anymore because it's somewhat counter intuitive to the irons.

There are lot of articles and videos on how the driver set up is different than the iron. Do lots of practice without a club to just get your body motion use to the driver swing and then go back and forth between the iron swing and driver swing. Also practice with a flat swing bath. I use guide stick for this using the blue brick methods without having the blue brick.
