There is a Twitter account that tracks the nicknames they use. Once you get a handle on the nicknames and inside jokes, you'll love Shotgun Start.

For instance, The Swedish Pancake Zone is when someone gets to 5 pga tour wins. Named after The Swedish Pancake, Carl Petersson, who has 5 wins. That's the absurdity of some of the inside jokes and nicknames. If you listen to a couple episodes, you'll catch on and you love it.

Frankie has improved a ton. I bet he is at least a single handicapper now.

What do y’all think of Foreplay in comparison to No Laying Up?

About 4 months ago I started looking for a golf podcast(I quit listening to podcasts for a year or so) and initially gave Foreplay a few listens.

I didn’t like it at all.

Went to No Laying Up and don’t miss an episode.

Personally, I like Foreplay better....to me NLU is to serious.... I like the fact that Foreplay is just a couple hackers like me

I used to like fore the people. However, recently they have become so bitter about the tour.

I love how Riggs hits 280 yard bombs on his 'Riggs vs' videos but in their scrambles he hits 220 yard slices and duck hooks every hole

I haven't watched them in a while, but what always made me question their handicaps was how shocked they get when they hit a good shot in the scrambles.

I saw one, they played from like 6,200 yards and it was par 70 I believe. That's probably right around a 8 handicap and he acted like it was his best round of all time so maybe he's around a 10

Foreplay unquestionably puts out better content than NLU. Foreplay’s personalities just get under people’s skin on this board for some reason. I’ve got nothing against NLU, I occasionally watch/listen to them but they’re a little boring imo.

Also, don’t be the handicap police, it’s so lame. They’re average golfers, what is to be gained from lowering your own handicap artificially?

Ask them, they're the ones that have handicaps about half of what they really are

Ego. I know when we are heading into our yearly golf trips, I'd rather my handicap be lower rather than higher. I don't care about getting more strokes. I want the ego boost of having a lower handicap than my friends. Also, I don't even know if Foreplay tracks it. I remember a video with Morikawa that they did when Morikawa asked Lurch what his handicap is. He said "I'm like a 5". He could be saying that because he's around there, or he has no idea and is guessing.

I may be able to see someone arguing that the podcast is better, but the videos aren't close in my opinion. I haven't seen anything from Foreplay that comes close to Tourist Sauce. If you would've told me that I'd watch 8 seasons of a show about a guys' golf trip twice, I wouldn't believe it. It's that good, though.

Podcasts maybe so but videos, there’s no way. NLU Strapped and Tourist Sauce are probably best golf video content out there. Their wide world of golf and Film Room stuff is still better than a bunch of puds sucking off Kiz in a scramble while they spray shots all over the course.

It will be hard for it to top breaking 100 and breaking 90 series that Foreplay has run and is running, but I will check it out.

It’s hard if you don’t know the guys or format super well, but the last episode before Neil gets married is an absolute delight.

Yea. You have to start at the beginning to understand some things. The content also gets better as they've gone on. It's way more professional.

But that episode of Strapped was a top episode of theirs and it isnt close.

Start from the beginning of the Strapped series. Plus they are architectural geeks when they nerd out on some of the Tourist Sauce stuff.

No one asked for this, but I think Golf's Subpar is a great podcast. Just an FYI for anyone looking for something new. Colt Knost and Drew Stolze host it.

I was coming here to say this as well. Their interviews are much better than 4play and they don't have a lot of fluff. I will only listed to 4play if I like their guest, not going to listen to them ramble on about BS golf stuff.

I agree with some of the posters here, NLU appears to professional for me and if i'm listening to something for 60-90 minutes I need some humor and I don't get that from NLU.
