Played here last Saturday and it was in superb condition. First time on the course and I was really impressed with how nice the place is. No affiliation with it whatsoever. All the times I fished the TOBI or LOBI, I was told the place was in disrepair. They definitely fixed it up. Kudos to them.
Greens were slow, but beautiful.

Yep, very fun course that has been in great condition for a while now actually. When it rains there the greens are slow for a little while but htey can get them on the quick side too. One of my favorite courses in LA and definitely the best views.

Played yesterday and today. It’s my fav course in my rotation. They’ve done an exceptional job keeping it in good to great condition since it reopened. Really wish it got more recognition and play. Supers a great guy.

Thats why I mad this thread. Up till now, Koasati Pines has been my favorite course in the state. But Cypress may edge them out. That split fairway on 16 is gorgeous. But the hard dog leg left on 13 (or 14) is a bitch. Especially if you haven't played it before.
I wish I lived closer to both courses.

Wasn’t this course on the verge of goat ranch status a few years ago? Did they get a new owner?

Eric? I've thrown a tournament out there two years in a row and he's a pretty great guy. So nice and extremely helpful.

He does an amazing job w a skeleton crew. You’re talking bout 12. The drive is much easier than the second shot. Just nowhere to leave it up by green.

SRA Louisiana put in several million dollars for the renovation a few years ago. I believe that Sterling Golf is managing it for the SRA.

I quit golf 9 years ago. In my heyday (90's) walking Cypress Bend while it was being built and playing numerous times until 2010-ish, the greens were always dreadfully slow!! The course has an amazing layout and beauty all around. I've heard often there were droughts of struggles to keep it up or other excuses. Always played from the back tees. My best score was around par and worst in the low 80s. The hard doglegs were a lot of fun and always managed to slice or duck hook the corners of the fairway. The small company my dad wound up retiring from had a camp 5 min drive away or 10-15 min boat ride. Had a lot of wonderful memories at TB fishing and playing in the 80s and 90s.
