In charge of planning a bachelor party in gulf shores coming up next month and thinking of playing Craft Farms one day. It says it’s the only Arnold Palmer designed course in Alabama and their prices are reasonable. Anybody have any first hand experience here?

It’s a good layout. I prefer Kiva and Peninsula over it, though.

Been many year since I have played them, so take with a grain of salt. I liked craft but much preferred Penninsula.

We played there on a bachelor party Mullet Toss weekend this year. Perfect mix of nice course and reasonable price. So we were able to drink heavily and not really care whether or not we played well (we didn't).

Played it a few weeks ago. Nice course in good shape but it is just like any other suburban course in any city. You don’t feel like you are close to a beach on vacation.

If you're all good to decent players, as in can all legit break 100, play Kiva. If you have some high handicappers play Craft Farms. It's more straight forward and cheaper, but I still like it.

Kiva is a better and more memorable golf experience.

And I would look at renting a house at Kiva and utilizing the Kiva club for pool, hot tub, drinks, food, direct access to a nearly private beach.

And not a bad drive to Jesse’s or Tin Too for a nice meal.

I wish I was young enough to be planning buddies’ batchelor parties again:

Lodging - probably stay at Turquoise for 1st class experience but I would go with a house - Make sure it has a pool

Golf - Kiva, Lost Key (AP design), Peninsula

Dining - Fishers for dinner, Jesse’s for
primary dinner but get a limo or car service so everyone can drink - Tin Top is excellent - King Neptune for fried seafood and cold beer - Big Mike’s has good steaks but y’all can probably grill some ribeyes just as well

Fishing charter - for a a party like this, I would do a quick 4 or 6 hour outing - nothing too long because y’all are going to be hung over, etc.

The zip line at the wharf is good and would be good group fun - see if there are any concerts next month and line up the trip for a concert at the wharf

I am too old to know where to score drugs, strippers or prostitutes are these days.

There is a big Methodist church on the main drag on the way out and a catholic church on fort Morgan road in case anyone in the crew needs a quick in house prayer for sins.

Use condoms and don’t play stupid games on the balconies

Kiva and Peninsula are better.
Rock Creek also better.

Cotton Creek is better than Cypress Bend

Best course in area is Steelwood in Loxley but need a member to get you out there.

I played there a couple of weeks ago. The course was in great shape. The greens were in great condition. I would definitely play there again.

Play Craft Farms and/or Gulf Shores CC. You will be drunk or hungover and Kiva will eat you alive in those conditions.

Hit up Live Bait and make some memories with the many bachelorette parties that will be there.
