Ccc is in HORRIBLE condition. The worst greens I’ve ever seen. This course should be closed. My friend has been trying to get me there for years, and I finally caved. What a mistake. Save your time and money.

Yes. What was once a wonderful private club has now been relegated to crap. I live down the street and for $195/month, it serves as a replacement for health club membership. The clubhouse on the river is owned separately and is beginning to become a wonderful spot to relax, drink, enjoy a cigar and hang with friends. The course should not be referred to as a "Golf" anything. It's a nice walk....

While it is a shite course this is the best condition it has been in quite some time. The only time it's worth it is when they run the two for $52 and you just want a round to F off.

I actually like the layout on the front (except for 9..that hole is just stupid) and the greens on the back are better than the front but it's definitely nothing more than a f around course and definitely not worth their standard rates.

The fact that there is no other public option within 20 miles is the only reason it remains open.

I was a member there for 10 years and dropped my membership about 2 years ago. About 2 weeks ago I received one of those 2 for $52 deals so I decided to check it out.

Holy crap, in just 2 years that place is almost unplayable. Worst greens I’ve ever tried to putt on. The old couple that owns that course should be embarrassed by what they’ve allowed that course to become.

The reason most courses fall apart is because of money. The people that own that course are absolutely loaded. They just refuse to spend any money on maintenance.

Surprisingly, it was. During COVID they basically just stole money from people. The course was in horrible shape but they knew people were looking for something to do.

When Danny bought the building down to the water he didnt want the course as I understand it. I think because of what they want for it. Looking by their greens fees they obviously have an overinflated sense of what the place is worth. But, I know Danny is an entertainer and a business man and if the course goes under my hope is that he will buy it, put the proper money into it and we can have a legitimate public course in Mandeville again.

Danny is a smart businessman. He has money because he doesn’t lose money. The old man and his family will keep the land until it is overrun with weeds, scrub brush and desperate people looking to play public golf.

I’ll be headed to join Diamondhead by spring.

You honestly can’t beat their pricing structure for what you get.

Oof. We drive through CCC periodically to visit friends and that place is a goat ranch. Shame because I remember playing a boys state golf tournament there in early 2000’s and it was a nice course. Now it looks like hammered dog shite.

Are you serious?

Oak Knoll, Royal are both better and cheaper. Oak Harbor is similarly priced and although I don't like that layout or tee box configurations is priced similarly but is much nicer.

Dhead has two immaculate 18’s. A great practice area. Really good restaurant. Also every member I’ve encountered there has been very friendly and welcoming.

Yea, was replying to Mizuno Dude about how great Dhead was when he mentioned joining. When you said Oak Knoll was better, I figured you misunderstood.

Definitely...makes ALOT more sense now.

How is the pace of play over at D-Head right now?

I love about a mile from CCC and do everything in my power not to play there. Unfortunately sometimes I am crunched for time so if I want to swing a club it is there.

The back 9 is currently in pretty bad to ok shape. The front is unplayable with the greens basically being sand pits. I've told the guy working there that I would be a lot more open to playing there more often if the cost reflected the course conditions like the $25 deal. Basically just use it as a driving range since there isn't one available here
