If you walk like golf was meant to be played, you don’t have to worry about whether the carts are allowed on the grass.

It blows my mind that people look at me like I have 4 eyes when I tell them I prefer to walk.

You’ll end up walking just as much on cart path only days anyway. Might as well just walk.

October -March I try to walk as much as possible.

My only issue walking some of the courses around here involves the 100-200 yard hikes between holes.

Some courses just aren't meant to be walked.

English Turn / metairie country club - both in good shape right now. Greens are rolling nice

LSU / dumas - both about what you’d expect, dumas surprisingly in a little bit better shape then I remember. LSU looking worse and worse

Any updates on Webb, Atchafalaya, bluffs?

Think if I was a billionaire. I'd donate a few million to make LSU insanely nice just to spite the University for letting it go to shite

I guess I fall into the camp of if they let me walk, it's walkable. Beaver Creek has some of those hikes between green and the next tee. I still walked 18 in 2:41 (according to my Golf Logix app) 2 weeks ago.

I wish the whole philosophy around golf in the US was more like it is in Europe where 95% of the people walk and carts are reserved for people who can't physically walk.

I don't disagree. I like walking more than carting most days.

Webb is in pretty good condition. It's getting to be close to the best condition I've ever seen Webb get to. Not there yet, but close. Just hell and gone from where it was when I was growing up. But it still isn't as well conditioned as SM or BC

It’s crazy how much worse LSU is compared to a lot of other college courses

Are you considering the college courses the team plays at or the one the university plays at? Bc a lot of the university courses also house the school team and LSU hasn't played out of LSU in forever it seems.

Mizzou’s student course is nice, the golf team doesn’t play there either. Georgia also has a nice course everyone can play including it being the home of the golf team.

Ole Miss surprisingly also has a pretty decent course that both students / the team use as well.

I generally like walking. The problem for me is summer. It's not the heat necessarily. It's the fact that I cannot keep dry even with a full bath towel.

Could we start a new one and get a sticky? No big deal if not, it would just cut down on the constant "what is the condition of (insert random course)?" threads that fill up the board.
