I’m making good contact lately but when I film my swing my right (trail) elbow next gets straightened out. I basically turn my body wiht the swing and my arm follows without getting straight. Through a head on video I see my lead elbow is doing it too.
How to fix??

The old inflatable ball in between the forearms or band around the elbows aid will help you with this. Just got over a bout of this last season

Above the elbow, not below.

Like above poster, work on connection between your forearms. I bought the green ball thing and it definitely gives me feedback that I am never as connected as it seems.

Something that works for me too is to think of your right palm holding a tray at the top of your swing. It helps me make sure I am not extending and getting that way too over the top swing that I struggle with.

Do half to 3/4 swings with those two things. I personally end up swinging full when I think "3/4".

The TRS Slider. It’s the best swing aid I’ve ever bought

A headcover or glove pinched between your right bicep/right pec muscle would be a similar alternative to this device. Once you get a feel for actually turning with your arms staying connected, even a 3/4 swing feels like a massive turn.

Also need to make sure you are giving yourself enough room in order for your arms to be fully extended. I had this issue where I wasn't "tall enough" in my swing. It's amazing the calculus your brain does in that fraction of a second to adjust to get the club to make contact.

This room thing is what I’m struggling with. I think subconsciously I bend my arms so my club doesn’t ground out. How do you fit it in??

not that this is really groundbreaking advice, but i know for years i watched any and every video possible to mankind on the swing, the path, the lag etc.

i was watching a live round one time and the tv shot was down fairway of a guy about to hit. basically the camera was right where the guy was hitting. when you see the swing from that view, at least for me, it displays how straight that left arm stays, and the drop of that left arm before turning, but more importantly to answer your question, the hips clearing out is what makes room for this.

something I've implemented that has helped me some is when addressing the ball and I'm in my comfortable stance, making sure my arms are dangling below, pop my butt out a tad. it helps prevent the "standing up" to create space, which actually gets you closer. this keeps your butt/waste away some for spacing, and then allows the trunk and all else to follow through in the space created.
