OCC currently at $515/month and has increased 3 times over the last 3 years by a total of $75/month.

Dues $548.10
Taxes $46.31
Total $594.41

This assumes you don't go for a month and spend any money.

Twilight green fee playing with a member at OCC is the best value in golf around here

I didn't know this was a thing.

it's certainly not untenable but hard to deny the growth from 2020 on. I'm injured and unable to play currently but if you were wanting to play Saturday morning you were limited to very early tee times even if you called at the first opportunity to book on those days

You guys do realize that $300,000 a month is break-even for LT from all revenue streams...monthly dues, food and beverage, carts and pro shop. Need 350-400 members to generate that type of revenue stream. Trust me Troon Golf has their hands full getting that place to break-even. That's why it will turn into semi-private place until they achieve break-even from just memberships. Better than becoming an overgrown eyesore!

I might have to drive over after a football game and play 18. I always did enjoy the layout of that course. Shot my best round ever there during the club championship of 73. Will never again shoot that.

So they're down to 100 members and keep raising rates? Smart business.

No, we’re all a bunch of double digit hackers, whipping breakfast balls off the 1st tee into backyards. Quit taxing our gig so hardcore, Mr. Golf BizWiz.

Apparently you don't know much about the situation at LT. Dues have NOTHING to do with membership numbers.

Lol. There is more than that.

LT can accommodate a good bit more.
Hopefully not though.
I love LT the way it is. Easy to get rounds, great facilities, the app is very convenient, the restaurant is always accessible.

Oakbourne transplants can stay right where they are. Bye

I've played LT a few times, most recently last month and I was a member at OCC for several years before I moved away. I prefer LT and if I lived in Lafayette, I'd join. I liked OCC, the course was always in good shape and it wasn't hard to get on (this was 10+ years ago). But the course is just ok, and the 18th hole is the worst finishing hole of any course I've ever played that isn't a par 3.

I pay a lump sum for the yearly green fees and get a 5% discount. The 7000 includes $135/month (X12) for the personal cart trail fee.

I’ve never played OCC. Explain why 18 is such a bad finishing hole.

It’s a par 4, 90 degree dogleg right that you basically requires you to layup on the tee shot which then leaves you with a long iron shot to an elevated green. You can go over the trees but still risk driving through the fairway. It’s just a bad hole.

Bad tee shot hole, but approach shot and green complex are good

The young studs pound driver into 14 fairway and play from there.

Well, a plane just crashed into the landing area on 18.
