I like Nick at Club Champion and John Joy. Both of those guys are good guys and you can tell. John Joy wouldn’t let me pay him for a fitting and Nick at Club Champion didn’t push anything on me. They know their stuff as well. I went o Buddha for a lesson and could just tell he had some shite with him. I must say I was never fitted there though.

If your point is that 25 hdcps don’t require tuned in equipment, I really don’t have anything to argue about. Their issue isn’t equipment for 95% of their swings and scores. However, the general rule that the iron shaft doesn’t matter is absolutely ridiculous.

That's where I got my Mizuno's.
Actually, Mike builds them. Ian and Matty do the fitting and generate all the specs.

Mike is awesome. Love his Sunday Q&As.

The idea of buy a stock set and putting in different shafts is no different than buying the heads and putting in the shaft because you're not getting a separate charge for the stock shafts as a component. But that entire interaction was strange.

I've been fit at CC in Metairie and Buddha, both were good experiences and I didn't feel any push at Club Champion. I'd probably get fit and have clubs built by Peoples Clubs if I didn't feel comfortable with the pricing or build at either place.

He said that Buddha got the iron heads from a business associate who does not give shipping or tracking info. Imo after speaking with the rep it’s due to the fact that they are not supposed to be doing that.

I’m sorry but this sounds like complete and utter BS.

Again S300 shafts would serve the majority of these golfers.

I understand what you are saying, but I'm not sure I agree with all of it. I'm an 8 hdcp. Don't know if that is average or not.
I gamed Mizuno MP60s with DG stiff shafts. I was fortunate enough to get fit for a full bag of new MP20s.
The guys at TXG fixed me up.
There is definitely a difference in shafts. Not huge, but you can feel it in your swing. A little more distance, better swing speeds and better dispersion. Look how much tighter the pattern is with the Modus 120s.

Ended up with the Nippon Modus 120 shafts and I'm very happy.

If I didn’t go to Buddha, I’d stay with my home course and the local pros. They know my swing well and I trust them. But they don’t have the shaft options Buddha has. I’ll figure something out.

I watched your video with TXG. We have very different swings and different speeds. But the Modus 120S fit me best. Anyone who saw my swing would think I needed X, but that’s not the case. Love those shafts.

Won a contest from TXG and Mizuno. Full set of Mizuno's and some swag. Just had to fly up to Toronto.
4 videos. Irons, Driver, Fairway and hybrid, and then Wedges. 5-6 hours, and 200+ swings. One month before Mizuno released their putters.
TXG YouTube.

If you are interested, search "mizuno contest winner" on YouTube. It was a blast. Was disappointed and surprised they told me NOT to bring any of my clubs. If I ever do it agian, I would bring them.

He confirmed that the heads Buddha ordered were real and he in no way believes he is selling counterfeit clubs or anything of that means. He said that Buddha got the iron heads from a business associate who does not give shipping or tracking info. Imo after speaking with the rep it’s due to the fact that they are not supposed to be doing that. On to the rest of it. He confirmed that Buddha did order legit iron heads and shafts and has been providing nothing but legit equipment. After a lengthy convo with Buddha he feels that Buddha was trying not to have a backlog of orders and wanted to do himself and me a favor by getting it here and built quickly. Mizuno rep agreed that it was def a poor business decision regardless if his intentions were good and he absolutely agreed that his ethical decisions after the change was wanted was in poor taste. He said that Buddha felt passionately about those clubs being best for me snd he didn’t think i should get anything else (

This sounds like a load of horseshite, lol who doesn't have a tracking number? Like the dude is fedexing heroin

And Buddha felt passionately

Lol seriously? That's quite better than average considering handicap distribution. Its better than 80% of the golfers in the world. But the fitting threads on here always make me laugh especially the putter fittings

All this thread has done is made me want to get fitted and swing some different clubs/shafts and compare them to what I play now. I’m playing TaylorMade p770 standard lie and stock shift shafts and have 10 handicap. I went and hit some 2irons at PGA Superstore and the guy actually helped and compared a few different ones and some hybrids and I settled on the p790 2iron with an Xstiff shaft. I flipping love that 2iron.

I do think psychologically being fitted for a club gives you more confidence in it
