I've only been to the LSU one and it was packed like sardines. I was going to try Santa maria since it's closer. Any suggestions?

Santa Maria was packed after work the other day, and it was off mats.

The best range is Beaver Creek. Wish it was closer.

yeah beaver creek is a mission. If only UClub was public. Would be a slick 5 min drive.

I played Santa Maria on Wednesday and the range was grass. They do mats early in the week I believe and grass later in the week.

It was packed at noon and still packed when we left around 4PM

Trying to find somewhere to go around 5-530. I rather not go spend a fortune at top golf if i just need a range.

I was there this morning and it is all artificial now. Tight lie mats with synthetic rough in between the mats.

Anyone been to the Legacy lately?

Santa Maria is mats on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. They put it on the grass on Wednesday and the weekends. Lots of chances for the old guys to continue digging their craters

Not SM. Too much sand on tee, y
Usually packed and off mats on Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I may be wrong in days but three days on mats. Sign in shop about the days. Usually packed by 5:15
Whoever is in charge of range has no clue how to move ropes or maintain the tee. Put down 2” of sand one day and you are hitting off that sand the next in same place where this is no grass. Just sand and divots

Honestly, I don't know why guys don't have an AccuStrike Mat and a practice net. Literally pays for itself and you don't have the Range hassles.

I actually do have a mat and net at home. Just aint the same when you can't see your ball flight. Every hit seems better than it really is to me.
