All three are in Baton Rouge. You can play Clark and CP twice.

OP asked for two public courses in BR.

I was obviously and unseriously defending the trolling going on here, but since we've turned off the autism filter, Clark and Santa Maria are not technically in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge city limits

I mean, obviously I consider all of these courses, including Copper, Beaver, The Island, etc. part of the Baton Rouge golf options and will tell someone as much (with the caveat that it might be a 25-30 minute drive out of their way) anytime they ask where people can play golf in Baton Rouge

It's really not a bad golf scene for the size of the town if you take price into account and don't mind driving just a little out of your way.

Go up to Nashville for example and try to play a weekend round anywhere that's not a goat ranch for around $60 or less. Answer: you can't, and even the $100+ courses outside of town are 5+ hour rounds.

This BS about 6 hour rounds is laughable; i have NEVER played a round at SM that lasted more than 4 1/2 hours and I play about 50 times a year.

Even funnier is that I just played Beaver Creek this past weekend. 1:55 on the front 9 and 2:50 on the back 9. Three groups in front of us was a sixsome and allegedly a bigass wedding group was in front of them.

My point is it'll be backed up anywhere if you go the Friday before Memorial Day, and you can walk on anywhere if you're trying to play on a Tuesday morning. Ridiculous to act like any one BREC course is slower or faster than any other

And for The Island, it might be a helpful reminder to some that the Plaquemine ferry doesn't start up until 9:30 on the weekends

Both of their addresses are Baton Rouge, LA

I didn’t know we were referring to the proper city boundaries.

*honestly I would’ve thought Clark was Baker until I looked it up.

Beaver was great last weekend except for the massive swarms of sand wasps in the bunkers. I’ve played like 259 golf courses and that was the first I’d ever seen that!

I sucked in the bunkers and I blame them. Always tough in front of a crowd.

There is nothing even remotely good in Baton Rouge for golf.

Pelican point is remodeling all of the bunkers and greens at the moment.

How is this going? Was thinking of playing next week, but not if it’s in bad shape because of the work going on.

You'll have to start on the Lakes course which is our 9 hole.. it's in good shape, although a few tee boxes are getting a bit ragged .. you then move to the Links back 9 and all have temporary greens ... so it shortens the course significantly .. so much so the Albatross is in play of 16 now.. Temp greens are a bit of a bitch to putt on... Other than that course is solid..
