Greystone’s greens are in excellent shape right now. They recovered from aeration fast and the poa is gone. Maybe you’re hearing from people who were buddies with the old superintendent. I don’t know him or the new guy, so no bias from me.

Do you know why he was fired? I do. he could've been arrested for what he did and Greystone was facing a lawsuit if he wasn't removed from his position. It doesn't matter how good you are. The new super is solid. give him a shot before talking about him.

Perfect is a stretch. Pete was okay. Got lazy. Things have been fantastic since. Lots more work put into the entire course and the greens are fantastic right now.

I’m hearing other changes are coming. Do you have any insights?

The only thing I know is that they’re going to start growing an actual rough. On most holes, you aren’t penalized much for missing a fairway (as long as you don’t find water.)

Nothing definitive so would rather not push something that ends up being a rumor. But there has been zero negativity with the new leadership and more involvement from ownership.

Got to play the Links at Pelican yesterday. The greens were punched recently, but it didn’t affect play. They rolled very nicely! The only thing that stood out as a negative was that the fairways are in kind of rough shape. I’m not sure why. Other than that, phenomenal course.

Play to front of green yardage, at least for the next year

I really didn’t have any trouble holding greens. I played mostly middle green yardage the whole time.

You should make sure you know what you're talking about before you say things. It was their general manager who did the things you discussed, not the superintendent.

You don’t know what you’re talking about either. The GM and super were both let go for different reasons. Both were pretty significant in their own way.

Webble Beach greens are getting better but are slow as frick.

Fairways are in great shape, though. Plenty of grass and good roll

I know enough to know one is way different than the other and significantly worse. Then no one should mess up a reputation of a superintendent by spouting crap like that.

He wasn’t specific. You’re getting really defensive over a post with almost no details (as it should be). Calm down and move on.
