Raise the mf green fees….make the course desirable enough to charge 50-100 per round and make it worth the money. The slap nuts that don’t have etiquette will stop coming as well… it’s a win win….

Brec could literally make Santa Maria be $100 per round if it were actually kept up and treated like a CC.

. I can tell you that there are currently 126 courses that are open statewide. And many of those that are open are struggling to make it & course conditions show it.

It will be under 100 in a few years. Horrible golf state with flat stale land and demographics working against it.

Im shocked that Laberge hasnt considered building a course on the land they have in front of the casino in BR. I know the Uclub crowd would probably shoot it down and it really isnt a money maker for the casino but that would help out play in BR alot.

We just dont have many options anymore. It sucks.

City Park generated a $75,000 surplus last year on 28,200 rounds. If they reduce the length of the course as Sasaki proposes to do, if is estimated it will be less than half that.

If they'd sell alcohol, it would go up a chunk. Same with Webb and Clark.

That’s horrible. Assuming average revenue per round of $40 that’s only 6% EBITDA which is borderline why be in business?

That model has one bad event like a hurricane and it’s a major drain and loser.

They don’t make a lot bc they do nothing to make it attractive. Tee boxes and greens are complete dog arse. Make it nice and ppl will come. Problem is they want cake and eat it without putting any effort.

Looking at Google Maps, the nine holes that stayed open look still somewhat cut. Other nine has trees growing.

If you look up his name on GHIN there is a 25.1 index at BRCC with no scores turned in since 2020.

I'm not sure it's a one course solution.

There definitely needs to be another muni/semi-private track to help with the demand, but from what I understand, all 3 country clubs are jam packed membership wise and tee times are hard to come by on the weekends.

U club should be working on another 18 rather than building new filings of the subdivision.

And BREC needs to realize that 9 hole executive courses are not what the public wants. They really missed a prime opportunity to merge Clark and Dumas courses and have a true 18 out there.
