10 years? Do you never play golf? How can you not buy balls for 10 years?
Combination of grandma went wild with christmas golf balls for a few years in a row, not losing many/finding some every outing and not playing much. I have 3 little kids so for the last 10 years I have averaged maybe 8 outtings per year.
I guess saying that should mean I could afford to spend some $ on balls but I am trying to get out every 2 weeks this year and the course near my house has gone full summer mode where they don't mow the grass about 8-10 yards away from the fairways so I'm sure I'll start losing more as there is absolutely zero reason to walk in there looking for a ball.

You may like the Bridgestone e series. I have always like this ball and it is in that price range.

I loved balatas! I played every balata in the 1990s at least once. Maxfli, Top Flite, Titleist, Slazenger, etc. Those felt awesome around the green but scuffed if they flew too close to a tree let alone hit one.
If you would have told me then they would make urethane covers that produce high spin like those balatas I would not have believed it.

Bridgestone?
I played the Tour BX. Really liked them.
If I ever come across deals or sales I pick up Tour BX's or TM TP5's.
IMO, hard to beat the the Maxfli Tour. Great performing ball, especially for the price point. Gives me the same performance for a better price.
Maxfli Tour v ProV1

I started buying used Pro V1, NOT the X though. Those are for much higher swing speeds or guys who THINK they do. Until you shoot legit mid to low 80’s and 2/10 rounds in 70’s I would just buy cheap stuff.

That is part of my problem. I shoot in the high 70s so I feel like I need to step up my ball choice to get better consistency.
I'm also planning on getting fully fitted custom golf clubs at the end of the summer if I can maintain my golf outting pace. My next decision will be deciding if I re-shaft my taylor tour burners or go with some new high tech irons.

Titleist basically swapped the profiles of the Pro V1 and the Pro V1-X a couple years ago. Now the X spins more than the regular. The new Left Dash version is now the replacement for the old X, as it's for the high swing speed player who needs much less spin.

for under 100 swing speed...not much

My appreciation of the old X version pro v was that it was a much “stiffer” ball and slower swing speeds could not properly compress the ball. No compression and the ball doesn’t perform like it’s supposed to.

I am probably closer to 110-112.

Refurbished Titleist Pro V1’s are around $25 a dozen. That’s what I use. Can’t tell any difference in them from regular ones.
I literally cracked one of these the other day. Never saw anything like that. Idk about the ones on sites like lostgolfballs.com but the ones you get from Walmart are trash
