They only had pass holder plan pricing posted on their FB page. I guess they are trying to solicit members before they announce rack rates.

Why the hell would they limit the amount of memberships? Unless that is just an early promo rate.

Green fees?

Such a limited membership, no use joining unless you have a group.

if they get what they posted then it pays the bills and any extra is a bonus, it’s not a limit of memberships but I’m sure it would be capped at a certain number. Im sure the potential investor would like to break even or make some money before determining the asking price for the property is worth his time.

I've never played La Tour but what is so great about it that would warrant spending $100 to play on a weekday? You can play TPC/English Turn/Bayou Oaks for $50-$60 on a weekday in the afternoon. Is the course that much better than those courses listed to where someone living near New Orleans would drive all the way to Matthews and pay double the price?

I guess you’d just have to play it and like links style golf courses with lots of wind, sand and water, some on here love to hate it and others enjoy it, it’s all a personal preference.

I mean...it's not as nice as some of the other places like Augusta National, Pine Valley or Greystone, but it'll do in a pinch.

As long as a course is in good shape and has decently fast greens then I will typically like it. However, all of the New Orleans courses I listed including Lakewood fit that criteria. I just can’t imagine how they can survive at that price point in that location.

TPC greens are usually mediocre, Bayou Oaks are ok but the course is boring, I’d rank LaTour above them both condition wise and golf course layout/challenge wise but that’s my opinion.

Lakewood is a ranch compared to LaTour

Not being a homer either. It’s no comparison

It might not be a regular play for someone in NO, but it’s worth it to try. BO is almost $100 on the weekend and an hour drive for us

And over priced at that, I’m glad blue oak is nearby

$100? That is a joke.
