Fitter recommended I play the left dash. I’m curious how it plays around the greens. Currently sidelined with an injury so I can’t test it out myself.

The left dash and prov1x are nearly identical in every aspect aside from iron and wedge spin where the left dash is much lower.

I’d like to take advantage of the buy 3 get 1 free Titliest deal going on currently but don’t want to make a bad decision.

It felt too firm and clunky around the greens to me. Couldn't get enough spin around the green so I stuck with the pro v1x. But the distance increase is noticeable. I keep a sleeve of left dashes in the bag and go to it if I'm playing a hole that I need a little extra distance on

Does it have the same spin roughly as the prov1? Meaning it is a longer, higher compression ProV1?

This is the data I’m using for reference. Spins a few hundred RPMs lower (roughly) for my swing speed with irons, which is what I was fitted for.

I may just do this. Need to get some iron numbers with the 2. If I’m not over spinning the V1 or V1x then I have no use for a left dash.

Z-Star XV, Vice Pro Plus, & TP5x are also on my radar.

I play the left dash. I like the firmness of it off of everything. A lot of folks don’t like how it feels off the putter. I don’t notice a decline in greenside spin at all.

For any Left Dash players, you should also take a look at the new Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Diamond. I recently tried some out and here are my observations:

- The ball is stupid long off all clubs. Literally a club longer off irons and noticeably longer off woods.

- The ball is also incredibly firm. Like REALLY firm.

- It really cuts through the wind well. It's been super windy here the last few weeks and it's been incredible into the wind. Downwind is crazy long.

- I don't spin it enough on chips and pitches for this to become my go to ball. I can adjust the shot I play accordingly on about 80-90% of my short game shots. But when I need to hit a little nipper, or am short sided, I need more spin.

- Full shot spin is no problem. Launches high and with the descent angle, I have no problem holding greens. It's just those shorter touch shots that I need more help with.

- Putts just fine. It's a little harder, but my putter is pretty soft, so it's fine by me.

- I'm irrationally annoyed by how my Sharpie marks wear off quicker than with Pro V1X. The line I draw for putting fades or rubs off really easily.

- Durability seems to be OK and slightly better than the Left Dash, but not as good as my gamer Pro V1X

It won't be my every day ball, but it's definitely going to be my scramble ball.

I am left dash player. No difference around the greens between it and the prov1 to me. It's much firmer without being harsh, but some don't. I like the lower spin on my long irons and plays great into the green, stops well but doesn't rip. You need to have a decent swing speed, and in the winter I can't play the ball. With the cold temps, I can't compress it enough to make it perform.

Tried a left dash. Found it similar to the vice pro plus and the Cut DC overall but ball flight was higher. Not as “clicky” as a TP5. Was longer off the tee and longer clubs than a Pro V but wasn’t a rocket off the face like the TP5. It was hard feeling off the longer clubs somewhere between a Kirkland and a Top Flite.. but not in a bad way if they makes sense. Putter felt like a regular pro v and was rather unremarkable. Spin for me off wedges was about the same as pro v but a little less off the lower lofted clubs.

I’ll use one if I find one but for the price I like the TP5 better.

Update on this. Been testing the 2025 v1x and left dash around the greens. The v1x feels firmer and clickier off the putter face.

If you find one, it will behave if the have a small scuff or two.

The ones in the box just want to go swimming or get lost.

I really, really, liked the left dash and played it a couple of seasons. Outside of greenside chips though, it was never an issue and really wasn't long term as I adjusted how I played these shots. Plenty of spin on approach shots as long as backing it up every time isn't your thing. What I found is that most anything inside 150 would give a nice one hop and stop. On soft greens, wedges will still back up a little, but nothing like a v1x or v1. I've honestly found the yellow V1 gives me the best overall results for my game. It plays very close to the left dash everywhere except greenside, where it gives a little more spin. Never been fitted for a ball, just real word results from playing several different balls and finding what works best on course for me.

Why TF is the Prov! yellow a lower spinning ball than the ProV1?

I swear, Titleist went from being the easiest to understand to one of the more confusing

Does anyone else find the yellow prov and prov1x more durable than the white ball?
