Adjusting Loft/Lie on Driver

I've had my G425 for a year now and have never played with the adjustments. Has anyone changed their adjustments and had it improved their drive? Mine is still in the Std position and the weight is in the middle. It's 10. 5° loft and I tend to hit a little high with a slight fade. I've been thinking of tinkering with the adjustments to get a little lower.

I have a G425 max. I have the 9 degree turned down to 7.5*. I just played with them and 7.5* is where I settled. Love that driver. Also shaft makes a huge difference. I struggled with high launch high spin with a stealth plus. Spin was around 3000. I have a rogue white xstiff and I spin rhe G425 max at around 1900-2000. Messing with the loft will help but I learned the shaft is a major part of it.

I have the MAX as well. Some complain about the noise but it doesn't bother me at all.

Yea I never really noticed the sound. Not something I think about during or right after a swing. My 7 year old hates the way it sounds and always complains when I pull it out. I understand his frustration with it but as long as I keep hitting it as well as I am, he will just have to deal with it lol.

Rent a bay somewhere indoor with data and check the spin rate, ball speed, etc. at different settings. Going off what you "see" at the driving range or course won't do much good IMO

I recently changed up my driver (Paradym) to -1 and adjusted the weight to mid way on the side of a draw. I typically hit a fade. It has worked out great for me.
After that, I made some adjustments to my 3 wood (Cobra F9) that I have avoided at all cost. I would typically just use a 4 iron in most situations because I just could not get any control or loft out of my 3 wood. Adjusting the loft has made a huge difference for me. I am now hitting it straight and in the air with consistency. It has given me a much better chance at birdie on Par 5's and I will even trust it on short par 4's. This has never been the case.
So yeah, they are customizable for a reason. Take advantage of this.

I have the 9 degree one minus click and weight to the fade bias. Ventus TR Black shaft. Power fade machine with my miss a piss missile down the left of the fairway. It's taken the left miss virtually out of play for me. No matter how hard I try to turn it over it won't

Slide the rear weight over to the heel and it will help reduce the fade if that's what you want. I loved my 425 but went to the new 430 10K since I had $500 credit at Edwin Watts as work gift.

How does it compare to the 425?

quote:Very similar setup for me with the LST. 9° with the weight set to a fade bias. AD IZ shaft, it is certainly a power fade machine. However, I have no problem hitting it 50 yds left b/c I sometimes roll my right wrist too soon.

G425 may be Pings GOAT driver. I game the LST and it's longest club I've ever hit.
OP, I'll tinker with it from time to time, but tend to go back to the setting that got me the best numbers on LM. Just know that if you increase loft, you'll close the face and promote draws and reverse it for decreasing loft.
