I just don’t love my 4-iron, it’s too inconsistent and I don’t hit it high enough.

Is a 7wood a good investment?

My one fear is that it will go too far. My 4-iron is supposed to be my 205-225 club but I’m too inconsistent, anything over 225 and I have a 3-hybrid.

Basically I need a trustworthy 200-225yd club

I don’t hit my 24 degree 7 wood that far.

Do you carry a 5 wood? 3 wood?

Consider a hybrid too.
Go test them at a fitting day.

I have a 3wood, it’s my 245-265 club

3 hybrid is my 225-245 club, 4 hybrid could be an option

I plan on it I just want a decent reference before I go

7-wood is more of a 3-iron replacement and 9-wood is a 4 iron replacement.

I love my 7-wood. Can hit it 235ish off the tee and 225ish of the ground and it will stop on a dime.

My 7 wood fits between my 4 iron and 3 wood. Replaced my 3 hybrid…it’s less hooky for me. Stock swing carries about 235. Pretty easy to take a little bit off of it. My stock carry on my 4 iron is 215ish

I just threw a McGregor V Foil 7 wood in the bag.

I found it in storage, forgot I had it.

Re gripped, it’s awesome.

This is why I love it, so easy to knock it down or whatever you want.

I do not have a club for that range anymore unless I land on the cart path.

Do like hybrids or fairway woods better in general?

This is all about personal preference.

I carry 3,5,7 woods and a 6 hybrid.

If I could hit anything 245, I’d probably not need so many head covers.

I replaced my 5i with a 7w and it was best decision I’ve ever made. I couldn’t hit my 5i with enough loft to hold a green so it was basically a punch out club.

My 7w gives me the loft to have the ball land and stop on the green. I have a lot more control with my 7w and depending on where I place ball in stance and swing I can hit it between 185-200 yds..

I’d definitely go try on out I’ve carried a 7 wood for a long time now and it’s easily one of the most versatile clubs in my bag. Tee, fairways, hell I can chip with it.

I’ve preferred Taylormade but would also look at the Ping or Titleist

Do you hit your 3H good?

You could go to a 4 or 5H.

I always carried a 5 wood as my 3rd wood but years ago replaced my 3I with a 3H and never went back. Now I rotate my 14th club from a 4H and LW depending on the course.

The 3H is my favorite club in the bag. It's an oldish Callaway Epic and it is an absolute rocket launcher. If I ever get another hybrid it'll probably be another Epic because I've worn mine out.

Just replaced my 4 and 5 iron

Went TaylorMade 5hybrid
Went 21* Callaway utility wood.

6iron carry is 180. I gapped them 15 yards apart. 5 hybrid is 195. The utility wood is a 210 carry.

Have a 5 wood that's 230 carry. Pretty happy with the decision. The 5hybrid is the easiest thing to hit. It has enough loft so I don't fear hooking it.

I like mine but I keep a 4 iron too. It replaced my 3 iron and I get about 5-7 more yards out of it than I did my 3 iron and gives me better gapping to my 3 wood.
