Move my divot forward. I'll take all the rest of my flaws happily if I could just do this.

Play once a week on average. I hit 15-20 balls just about every day for my retriever to fetch (his favorite thing). I really need to focus on a specific target when doing that, otherwise it's just playtime for the big goofus.

Man it helps! I’ve lost 25 since the beginning of November. I’ve got 30-40 more to go.
It messes with your swing for sure, but it helps.

What I'm struggling with right now. I'm down 35lbs but my swing and timing is now out of whack.

2023 Goals:
- Get to single digit handicap (currently 11.4)
- Play to my strengths (struggle with 40-50 yard pitch shots so put myself in position to hit approach from 100 yards where I'm more comfortable and can swing full)
- Cut down on OB shots off the tee
- Break personal best of 82

1. Play more with friends and less with sharks.
2. Have my daughter playing well from 135yrs in
3. Find a putter and live with it
4. Play a bogey free round
5. Play the money game at my course in Payne Stewart knickers.
6. Win every money game I play in said knickers
7. Ruin all of my competitors rounds at the sight of said knickers
8. Do more for blue collar golfers like myself and giving more of the finger to elitist prices who think we can't belong.

Over halfway through the year now, how's everyone doing on their goals?

Mine are quoted above and thankfully a few have panned out:

- HCP currently at 10.6 (down from 11.4)
- 55-60 yard shots are now a strength. Can confidently say I now feel just as comfortable hitting 50 yard pitch shots as I do a full swing 100 yard shot
- These are still a problem and a big reason why my HCP isn't lower
- Shot a 79 in April which was my first time ever breaking 80, much less my old PR of 82

Hole in One #10.

Been stuck on 9 for 14 years, so it’s been a repeat goal

Current HCP 18 was as high as 23 over the summer.

1. Eliminate 3 putts
2. Keep it in play
3. Increase vision( shaping shots, allowing the course to determine shot I take instead of attempting things I shouldn’t and making my score worse)
4. Intent focus on mental preparation before and during every round.
5. Hit more greens
6. Break 80

Current hdc at 14.6 got as low as 12.8

1. I am 3 putting a lot less, about 1.5 times a round the last 6mths.
2. Still struggle to keep it in play, avg 2-3 OB’s a round which kills my score and confidence.
3. Placed more focus on aiming away from hazards and center of greens instead of trying to shape the ball according to conditions.
4. Golf is hard and a lot of times I can’t get out of my own head so still working on the mental aspect of my game, much improved but still a ways to go.
5. Aiming for center of greens and using more club instead of trying to muscle the club to get yardage to the center and having a huge miss.
6. Managed a 78, 80, handful of 81’s and a couple 82’s but my average is still around 85-90. Rarely score above 90 anymore so I see it as an improvement from last year none the less.

Just starting back after a 4 year layoff. Back then I went from never touching a club to breaking 70’s multiple times in 3 years. Play with a lot of guys that helped speed that up and took lesson got fitted ect. Most importantly. I PRACTICED and played twice a week with one being 36er if weather permitted.

Now goals are to drop 40lbs. Start stretching everyday.
Practice and break into 80’s by the end of the year. Next year break into 70’s and start learning to shape shots consistently.
