Zombie games that are large in scope and scale

Hope my title makes sense. I love a good zombie game but I prefer something with more depth. Dying Light, Last of Us, and State of Decay have satisfied me the most. I really crave something that would look like Fallout but in the ZA. Are there any games that I should take a look at?

The first State of Decay was amazing. I still remember doing that mission where you head back to the campgrounds you started in to find a watch. At that point, I didn’t know you could bring people along with you when you left your encampment. I also did it in the middle of the night.
Great game

I thought Days Gone was great, it’s legit creepy and had a great storyline.

Fallout has a bunch of ghouls to kill. If you want more of a fps try the Left for Dead games.

Fallout 4 has a zombie mod where you essentially turn the game into a zombie apocalypse.

Red Dead Redemption 1's Undead Nightmare DLC is pretty good.
And I don't know if you have a VR headset (or any interest in them), but I've also heard The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners is surprisingly great. I have plans to pick it up eventually.

I have also played both DI as well. Those were fun especially with co-op. I co-oped one night with some posters on this board and they were all over the damn place

Days Gone for sure. Give it time though, starts out a little slow. Fun as hell after that and the challenges are great too.

I second state of decay
Not the prettiest or best mechanics you’ve ever played but in terms of what I would consider a legit zombie survival experience I thought it was pretty good

Wish Rockstar would make an updated red dead nightmare.
Or a GTA 5 add on that does to GTA 5 what Undead Nightmare did for RDR1

I'm itching for the 3rd one. I loved the resource gathering and base aspects

Was going to recommend Days Gone as others have.
7 Days to Die could be another to look at.
