wait - the PS4 APU is based on AMD's jaguar cores?
the jaguar are AMD's low power models. the E series, not the the high power A series.

i'd love to see how this works out. cant imagine buying a PS4 powered by one of these

I'm trying to figure out why you are trying so hard since you already have all of those AMAZING features.

I am not saying anything. You stated I already knew which console I was getting. I told you I wasn't buying one actually. You laughed and basically said yea right. I told I why I wasn't but answered your question about which one I would get if I did and now here we are talking in circles because you fail to grasp all of this for some stupid reason.

You can on Xbox as well

People skipped over this a while ago because it didn't fit the bashing everyone wanted to do.

Xbox One and Used Games

We know there is some confusion around used games on Xbox One and wanted to provide a bit of clarification on exactly what we’ve confirmed today. While there have been many potential scenarios discussed, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail.

Beyond that, we have not confirmed any specific scenarios.

Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friend’s house – should you choose to play your game at your friend’s house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile.

No I mean sharing a game. Not reselling it or taking it to a friends house. Streaming live too? I need to look this up.

Hmmm...

What if that friend doesn't have internet? There's no way to authenticate your profile if you can't get online

Oh. I never do this anyway so for me that's no big deal so I don't count it as a feature though others might.

Then he wouldn't have a Xbox anyway because it has to check in online once a day as stated earlier.

What about PS4's features that nobody cares about? Can't I play my friends game or something?

Yes, something like that. You can also live stream, upload video (editing is built into the PS4 UI), play games while they're downloading, turn the console on "sleep" so you can resume your game where you stopped, remote play on the vita, watch what your friends are playing. Those are some of the features.

This is nice.

I do wish I could do this on my PC since every game I buy is downloaded.

Didn't Xbox show something similar today?

watch what your friends are playing

No interest in this at all for me. Also, Sony fans here said social features are lame.

I think maybe a few games have this implemented, I know WoW does it. But yes, it would be nice if it was widely implemented.

I believe they said something about having a lower power state, I'm guessing it would be similar.

Nor do I. And some or most of them are, I couldn't care less about facebook integration or anything like that.

They usually are, but what is lame about them is that usually have nothing to do with gaming.

Also,

quote:

Comparing smart glass with the Vita functionality as just a "second screen" is a bit misleading. Vita is proprietary where as smart glass will work with any mobile device.

And yes, the Vita is far better device than just a second screen. I think that's a pretty large advantage than using a smart phone instead.

This is pretty cool about the cloud Xbox is pushing

quote:

-Cloud, Cloud, Cloud!

As with any new tech product nowadays, there’s a significant push from Microsoft on swaying gamers toward the floating realms of The Cloud.

In fact, the Xbox One allows developers to access Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform right off the bat. All downloaded and installed games / achievements can then be synced to the cloud and accessed and played on any Xbox One you decide to log into.

These new changes also make the process of holding down a multiplayer battle less tedious. Fingers crossed, those battles with the lag will be a thing of the past, with stable, dedicated servers hosting every multiplayer game. No longer will matches of this sort be hosted on somebody’s console somewhere far away, but allowing up to 128 participants to do battle without the stuttering connection drops reducing the enjoyment.

That was always my biggest gripe about CoD and other games that did the same thing hosting wise. About time they make dedicated servers pretty much standard.

Guess 64 man for BF4 on console is a given now.

Also will allow Minecraft to have a virtually unlimited world like it does on PC.

That's one thing that will be very nice. Upgrading that infrastructure is pretty vital for expanding Live and all the additional features they want to implement.

No I agree. It's a horrible comparison on their part is what I was getting at. Smart Glass is what it is and works on any device. Using Vita as a second screen is inaccurate because it does so much more than that but at an additional cost. Smart glass will work on devices most people have anyway. They aren't similar at all.
