Because it seems that MS is specifically targeting the used game market.
MS just wants to nickel and dime you like EA. If EA makes this painless, I see MS going bigger. It's just getting ridiculous.
It is clearly a move to hurt the used market.
So disappointed.

I'm serious. GameStop will have to alter their business plan.
I don't think Microsoft is the only one that's going to try to push them out. Sony will do the same. They just aren't saying it because Microsoft is taking all the punches right now. I expect E3 will be very interesting when the companies start to clarify their plans.

Used games only accounted for 30% of Gamestops revenue last year. That's not profit but revenue.
They are also shifting focus to diversify more. They have added tons of products they used to not have, have a new digital platform for the PC gaming market, and have moved into the used phone and tablet market now which is a very profitable business. They will be fine.
