Anyone use this for their PC games that are better with a controller? Been using a PS4 controller the longest but having disconnect issues and I think it's due to the loose micro USB connection.

I ordered the One controller with adapter that will allow me to use it wirelessly with my PC, and also a play and charge kit for the rechargeable battery and cable so I can also technically play wired. I worry about input delay with the wireless method, but know that I wouldn't have to worry about finicky USB connections.

Is the Xbox One's design better as far as the USB being more secure when it's plugged in?

The xbox controller is pretty much the goto for most PC players who use one.

I've never had issues with mine, I installed a dedicated usb hub on my case for mine along with my Vive trackers for full body tracking.

Yeah the fact it's MS automatically means pretty much all games now that are best with a controller have great support for it.

For instance with Rocket League, even though it's plug and play with a PS4 controller on PC too, I don't get the rumble for some reason, or even a lit up lightbar. But using DS4Windows I can get those features back.

Jedi Fallen Order works plug and play without DS4 Windows with rumble, and lightbar. It's just so hit or miss with a PS4 controller with dev support.

Isn't it basically true most PC games that are better with a controller universally have flawless Xbox controller support?

Yes, PC players have always used XBox controllers. I'm glad I don't need that goofy dongle anymore.

It's like you just discovered fire.

What dongle? And I've been wanting an Xbox controller for my PC for a LONG time.. I just needed a reason to fork over the money. Getting DC'd over and over during intense fights in Fallen Order is legit pissing me off. Not to mention the many times I've been DC'ed in Rocket League and just have to shut the game down.

Probably the xbox one/360 controller dongle you had to use to use an xbox controller with a PC

Now the new controllers are bluetooth so you dont have to worry about using the dongle

The controller I bought came with a wireless adapter for Windows - pretty sure I have to have this since my PC isn't Bluetooth enabled. I posted what I bought in the OP. Wait do I not need this adapter? Wtf?

any wireless controller will need an adapter for PC use. if it's bluetooth, you need to make sure your PC has integrated bluetooth capabilities or a bluetooth adapter.

I think reading the questions on the Amazon page for the controller is just confusing me more and I had it right all along.

I need to get this for the interactive VR porn, along with a Bluetooth Fleshlight.

Thanks Dam Guide for reminding me to step my masturbatory game up.

I love my xbox one s wireless controller for PC. It's the best feeling controller I've ever held (everyone's hands is different though). Haven't had any technical issues at all.

Honestly a wired controller is much better for a desk setup IMO. Unless you have the pc set up far away from you in the living room like you would a console system...then wireless is the obvious choice.

Nothing worse than invading in DS3 and the damn controller dies.

The plug and play kit sometimes craps out too and you'll need to reinstall/update the driver through device manager.

That sounds exactly like what I have to do with my PS4 controller - but I still think the PS4 issue is a loose micro USB connection using it as a wired controller. Hope I'm not wasting money here.. I actually like the PS4 controller just can't stand the disconnects.

I'm also not worried about the battery dying using wireless because I don't game in sessions long enough for that to be an issue. I could just charge it after I finish each time. As long as wireless results in no to unnoticeable input delay then I'd be ecstatic with it.
