Yeah, a couple of mages (or AOE classes), pulling 3-4 groups at a time and just nuking the dungeon down for the most part.
I really don't remember running SM over and over being a thing. That's interesting. When I saw people doing it on streams and stuff during the beta and the first week or so on classic live I had no memory of that.
I knew higher level players would farm it for gold.
But like I said, I was so young I really didn't know what I was doing. I did the dungeons once, MAYBE twice, for quests and what not, but not much more than that. People are running SM for hours. I can do two or three runs and have to go do something else.

They're farming certain drops too but yeah, I don't have time for that shite. When I'm of level I'll be running it but I have no desire to spend hours in there.

I started farming Armory at 38 so that I could have all of the mail drops and Ravager by 40. I wouldn't recommend doing it strictly for exp, at least not Armory. There are other dungeons that offer far more exp for your time. However, I'm about 60% toward level 40 and I'm only missing the helm and Ravager, so I think this is going to work out exactly how I wanted.

Im sitting at 60g with a fresh level 38. I have spent a couple gold here and there on the AH leveling tailoring and getting some decent upgrades for myself. Otherwise I've been pretty frugal. I MAY have spent 6-8g total on items.

55g right now and that's with keeping up with skinning/LW/Fishing/cooking etc. By the time I clear the bags at 40 I'll probably have around 65g. Not bad. Shouldn't be too long after 40 that I'm on my mount.
Found a great addon that tracks all income and expenses. Been pretty useful so far.

I got mine last night at 47.
Ammo, pet skills, pet food, one less bag slot, my skills, trade skills. I found a great add on called Titan Panel.
I will have to add Accountant
Addons I use
!Details (dps)
Titan Panel (lots of useful stats and controls)
Questie (shows available quests, quest mobs, and goal locations)
Atlas Loot (shows all loot drops from all bosses)
Auctioneer (shows sale prices both AH and vendor, and many things regarding AH and drop prices)

my questie is plastering every single quest status on my interface all at once. need to figure out how to ditch that shite. annoying with a full quest log.
sitting a few bars from 41, need 50 more G for my mount and already have the riding skill.
most of my stv quests are 42 so im going back to do elites in hillsbrad and gonna run through arathi with ease.
the kobalds right outside or horde post in arathi were giving me 7s Ea for a few min, started AoEing groups and they started dropping like 70 copper each. annoyingly inconsistent.
my two world drops so far are a 29 twink rifle ironweaver and a skystriker lvl 34 bow. Saving them both to make money later.
I'm not sure if many 29s will be able to get master hunter rifle/bow in classic since you cant cap the XP.

For hunters is a must, saves a ton of money on pet food, not to mention stats food, I run with +14 STA and +14 SPirit food.

Leveled my warrior from 7-13 yesterday. I guess ill follow the guide i found and do fury until 40, switch to arms until im ready for deep prot once most of the leveling is done.
This is my toon I'm doing my fishing and cooking on.
There just weren't enough quests in durotsr so i made the run to mulgore and did all of those quests too. About ready to circle back and finish the lvl 11-14 durotarr quests, make a few RFC runs for gear now that I have shield bash, and get into the barrens. I have to make an annoying trip to silverspine to get the bear meat recipe so I may level there for a bit until my cooking is at 95 ish. ( no bears in barrens)

I had a similar situation in BC/WOTLK.
I'd buy all the adamantine ore off the AH, had a prospecting macro so I could process it while AFK and doing daddy duties. Would get hate messages often for "ruining the market".
The best was, once I hit the gold cap (was 1 million at the time) I messaged the guy that was always messaging me for undercutting him on the AH. Told him I was getting out of the gem selling bizz, and wanted to sell him my inventory at a bulk discount. He instantly agreed to buy it all, so we meet up, and when trying to trade it pops up "TRADE CANCELED, PLAYER CAN NOT HAVE ANY MORE GOLD"
He harrassed me for another couple days before I put him on ingnore.
