Worst game of 2018

My pick is easily Madden 2019. No run game, glitches galore, microtransactions, and a terrible soundtrack made this game unplayable. Bring back the 2k series!

I haven't personally played it, but from everything I've seen, and the fact that it's a Square Enix release, The Quiet Man is probably in the running for worst of 2018.

Ok. You got me. The game looked so bad I just assumed there was no way it could have been a major release. It wins.

To be fair, SE only published it, but it's hard to imagine they saw what Quiet Man was and still went through with it.

I feel like the disappointment factor has to be part of the equation. The Quiet Man is a very under the radar game so although it may be the outright worst game of the year that is backed by a major studio, Fallout 76 was such a huge disappointment based on the hype it got. I guess which is worse?

I think those could be the winners of two different categories. Like you said, expectation definitely is a factor with 76, but honestly, leading up to release people were super skeptical this would be something worth a crap, especially with the news of no NPC's. Nappy was warning us really early on. But it has good ideas it's just not executing on. Quiet Man is through and through a disaster.

God of War is a good choice. I never played the earlier games but had a blast with this. Combat eventually becomes really complex, but it's a good story with really interesting characters.

I might pick up god of war. Hopefully it isn’t too puzzly because I hate games that make you drag boxes
I feel like I heard that hollow knight was really hard and I only like games that you can put on easy or cheat
I’m almost considering buying a switch even though I make fun of y’all for it
Also I bought this game called wreckfest on steam which is demolition derby which sounds cool but it kinda sucks tbh

There's some of that, but it never felt like it dominated the game. Most of the puzzles you do involve throwing your axe, which you can summon back by hitting a button and it's the greatest thing in video games in a long time.

I mean like I play games but most of them suck. The last game I liked was the new assassins creed and this board has recommended some major stinkers like red dead, persona 5, and monster hunter world
