Played it at 11 sharp last night.
Defense is more difficult, which is cool because it should be.
If you bat on dynamic, the pitches get faster as you get better. I was late on multiple pitches that could've been homers.
So far, it's as good as the game has ever been.

I just dont understand the marketplace and how to get better cards. Every year i say i am going to get into it and every year that lasts like a week

Market is really easy once you figure it out. Just have to find cards with decent spreads. The beginning of the game is so easy to make stubs since so many people are using it.

16 is great. A number of players went back to 16 for a bit but I played 17 a lot after I got bored with 18’s horrible pitching.

I haven't played The Show since 15 mainly due to not having the PS4. I went X1 instead, for no good reason other than my buddies had it and I wanted to play COD with them. They haven't played X1 in years' and i've dabbled in a few games here and there, ultimately my gaming has dramatically decreased since having a kid. Every year I play Madden and every year i'm over it by the 1st month. I typically play FIFA for several months and TGC as well. I'm mostly a sports gamer these days.
All that being said is I have the itch to get back into The Show. I looked at it last year and the reviews were turrible so I shy'd away. From what i've read this year, seems that the game is back. I'm only a franchise/online player and online has never been good for The Show, so i'm hoping they invested something in improving the online play.
I've also considered getting OOTP. Anyone have experience with OOTP? I know it's completely different from The Show but I sometimes enjoy that statistical part of the game rather than playing a full game for an hour or so.

Looks like they expanded on diamond dynasty this year and created a new March to October mode that is essentially an abbreviated franchise mode.
March to October Overview
I read that the defensive system had been reworked so that overall it's a little bit tougher. It requires more user skill to make a play vs relying on the players atributes.
I have it loaded up on the PS4 and ready to get home to crank it up.

Online was almost never laggy for me in 17-18.
You would have a game every once in while, but I hardly experienced it.

I picked it up and kicked off my franchise. They have a pretty solid set of rosters already out.

your friend is dropping real cash into it then, SDS made it so u cant flip as easily as in the past. now if u try to sell someone for "less than average market value" they wont let you, so its harder to find snipes

Some of the reviews that are coming in are saying there's issues with the framerate. This is coming from operation sports forum, but some people are not having any issues.

He has never spent a dollar on stubs in the game and has done this the last two years. He is legit just a wizard on the market.
He told me about the market average crap but that is irrelevant when it comes to flipping.
It’s all about finding cards with bigs gaps and making a few K on every transaction.
If he was buying stubs he wouldn’t have 65 pages worth of transactions. Only lazy players or those who aren’t decent players need to buy stubs. If you’re any good at the game you could make a killing by just finishing WS and winning BR (Assuming the reward systems are still the same)
