Still early on.. only lvl 103. But I feel weak. Not near as strong as I thought they would be. I may not know what I'm doing though.
Not putting out enough damage, dieing too easily? What do you mean?
Have to remember your starter equipment is also mid grade at best

Sorry for not elaborating..
Damage in dungeons is pretty bad, or at least what I've been seeing. Behind tank a lot of fights, 3rd typically at best.
I have died a good bit as well, particularly on the Artifact quest. I ran in with 75% health a few times but still got tore up anytime there was more than 2 mobs.
Dying is part of not knowing defensive cooldowns, when to get out/panick. I have played the game long enough to where if I play a class for 3-4 hours (which I have played DH in beta so far) I know the core abilities enough to be serviceable. It hasn't happened yet. Hopefully I'm doing something horribly wrong and can see a guide to fix those things.
I jump on my hunter I created, starting bow, doing almost DOUBLE damage on large single target mobs. Again, this could be that I know what I'm doing and not missing anything.
Not meaning I'm having a miserable time. I was just hoping DHs would be easier to pick up. DKs were IMO.
I won't discredit the overal esthetics of them though. They are made badass.. the warblades.. look.. fight animations.. deeper customization than other classes.. very impressed with that.
It's still early, so I'm hoping they grow on me.

I am having the same experience. I am hopeful they will get fixed on a tuning pass in the next month or two. I think they are scared of making the same mistakes they did when they introduced deathknights, but just shifted too far.

I feel the same way. It's still early in the process so I'm sure they will get a buff or some balancing. They may scale better with gear as well.. I haven't gotten that far.
I've been doing the weapon quests for classes I'm interested in before leveling anyone.

Does anyone know when the pre-patch comes out? I am almost definitely maining a holy priest that I am very attached to, and from the what I hear they are very strong in the beta. This spec deserves its time in the sun goddammit

I heard a month before release.. so I would probably guess late July early August..

If the rumors are true about the death of one of the most major characters in the game series, it may drive a lot of people away.

ive been playing a little Holy priest, and i have to say - its really nice.
fire mage is fun, finally, but to me the damage is a tad low - but im not so much worried about it considering it is very early Beta.
DH is fun, but i agree with the damage aspect - see above.
Fury Warrior is badass - i may make that my main.

Nerf bat incoming when tuning starts..
DH gets a lot better after hitting 101.. scaling for some reason at lvl 100 is weak.. I started doing a lot more damage after that level..
MM hunter is still my go to right now.. a lot of complaints about them, but I like them.
I have played:
MM Hunter
SV (Melee) Hunter (Weird as hell I find, but fun, not my thing though)
BM Hunter - completely broken right now.. horrible spec.
Ele Shaman - Fun, class hall is awesome.
WW Monk - boring as hell from how I played it.
Havoc DH - Got better as it moved along.. more shot CD based, 2 button manual rotation and a 5 min nuke CD. Still TBD if I like them.

I'm going to tread lightly when discussing spoilers, I know some people like the story aspect and don't want it ruined (I'm not one of those people).
Major spoilers happen in the opening legion questline/scenario, I can tell you that. I'm not sure if it's what you are talking about though. 1 of the 2 of the spoilers happen in a cut scene, which isn't ready yet or they won't show you in beta.. it says "Queue super awesome scenematic" and you wake up in Stormwind.
I think they did it so early in the story to let the players know these new forces mean business..
If players are turned-off by it, hey, no one is going to make you play it, but it seems like it will be a good game, so they would be missing out. I feel MMOs are part story and part about you, how you play the game. I don't think something like a major character dying should be a turn-off.. just another part of the story and how you react to it.
If the folks in this thread want to talk about it, I'm game, but I'm not going to go into it unless others don't mind.

im doing no spoilers myself - just discussing classes and stuff.

I mythic raid on my shaman so essentially for beta ive been playing elemental which is very clunky to me right now as I level up (104). I took a break from beta because WoW 3 Server was suffering horribly from the phasing bug which left you pretty much stranded in Dalaran.
Let me say this though, LEGION, the vision at least, is something ive been waiting for a long time. It feels BC ish but not too vanilla. The dungeons look extremely amazing and the bosses seem under tuned in some areas, EXTREMELY over tuned in others. I have not dinged 110 because of the damn phase bug but I cant wait to start some raids.
LEGION is the Game of Thrones expac of WoW. I will leave it at that for rumors.
Class Halls are awesome and not to intrusive like Garrisons are.

Major characters have been dying for a while and there are multiple characters dying this go round (and a few coming back).
We've killed Garrosh, Admiral Taylor, Nazgrim, Saurfang, Cairne. If anything the death of characters starting in Legion will create more intrigue with who replaces them.

Very intriguing story this go around, I'm actually into it right now.

They have fixed it on the server I play on. It was unplayable Wednesday morning.
I didn't find Ele clunky honestly. It was about the same, I love Maelstrom resource though. It gave Shaman something to work with.
I feel the same way with dungeons.. some of it is trivial, other bosses we wipe multiple times due to people used to just walking up, hitting 1, and stuff dying.
Good luck to you all in mythics, my guilds core group, and myself, kind of took a break since we don't have the numbers/group capable of progressing in mythic, so we took a break before playing more in Legion.

I've heard what's going down horde side and I'm very excited. Been wanting that to happen for years

Yeah, this sounds bad, but I'm paying attention to the story in beta, so I don't have to read all the quest texts for live, so I can speed through it.
