I'll also throw Last Guardian and Arkham City in there.
I liked the first Gears game for a while, tried out 2, and it pretty much felt the like the same game. Haven't touched it since.

Is it like a puzzle game? I've heard it's great for what it is, but it might not appeal to me.

Thats the reason I bought a Wii. Its a shame that it is looked down upon on this board. I felt the exact same way you described ("breath of fresh air", "cool", "fun") after playing a single level in Super Mario Galaxy 2.
I'll have to check out Portal. I've heard a lot about it.

I know it isn't on the Wii. I was just saying that his feelings about Portal were similar to how I feel about the Wii (which is a breath of fresh air) after playing a 360 and PS3 for so many years
