I'm having a tough time remembering. I do remember back in the day when EA Sports NCAA Football only had a 4 year dynasty. It seemed great back then, but boy that would suck now.

I don't remember which game it was, but I rember a time when you didn't recruit players. Rather, you recruited a position and caliber. I just remember recruiting what was called 'bluechips'

NCAA 99 is the first one I remember that really blew me away with graphics. I'm sure there were some before that though.

Yeah, I think it was Bill Walsh Football.

Did anybody ever play Super Play Action Football for the SNES? I remember it pretty vividly, but nobody else I know has ever heard of it. When you started you chose to either play a NFL season, a college season, or a high school season:

Thank you! Damn, I thought I was the only one who ever played that game.

How does it hold up? Pretty terrible I'd imagine.

I loved super play action football... Remember the team names were all fricked up? They had fluke instead of duke and some other name problems I can't recall...

And the high school playbooks had like 4 plays

Yeah, the college names were hilarious. I just remember thinking how cool it was to be able to play as my high school in a video game. And that Mario was on the coin.

Bill Walsh was first, but College Football's National Championship was better.

Gets-some-room. Sacked. Touchdown.

I had Techmo Bowl and even John Elway's Quarterback on PC, but they were NFL games.

Let's go back even further, "10 Yard Fight" on the NES also had high school, college and pro options. But they were only skill levels. LINK
