Skyrim, New Vegas or Witcher 3.
Respect. These are probably my three favorite franchises ever.

In the same boat. Have played video games most of my life. Having trouble getting into games and enjoying them these days. Maybe it's my age finally taking me out of them.
But Ive been playing CSGO a little the last couple of weeks and have been enjoying it a bit, but it still feels Im forcing it. Havent played CS in a couple of years and have been impressed with the community now. Its been much less shitty and most pugs have been cool as hell. Thats made it more fun.

I’m 30, and often find starting new games very stressful and nerve-racking. The learning curve, especially for fps games can feel incredibly steep. I still recall the miserable week when I was unemployed trying desperately to learn how to not suck at passing on Madden 19 before finally rage quitting. I remember getting a panic attack from the platforming on the first level of Jedi Fallen Order.
Part of that is my history with games:
1. My family almost never had current gen systems
2. I skipped straight from my Nintendo wii (most recent game bought for it was in 2010) to a PS4 in 2019
3. Primarily played rts games on pc (total war, age of empires, starcraft, roller coaster tycoon, sim city, etc), sidescrolling 2d action games on genesis/snes, or classic multiplayer games on n64 growing up
Jumping from KOTOR to FFXV was akin to Dorothy opening her eyes in the colorful world of Oz for the first time. Jumping from Halo 2 to Call of Duty Black Ops, Fortnight, and Battlefield 1 is a landing I still haven’t stuck.
Despite many games having really overwhelming learning curves, I will say, the following games really connected with me: FFXV, FFVII Remake, Witcher 3, and Breath of the Wild.
