Yes you rush games.

I'm not a big lore person so I don't take time to read books and that kind of stuff, I just have more time to play than most, at least I used to. Multiple family things, year end coming up, and my audit has started will cut into my play time in the next few months.

I have it and Dishonored 2 pre-loaded, but with Steam you have to always do and updated that takes as long as downloading the frikkin game.

Not planned, at 4:00 yesterday I didn't have anything going on by 5:00 throat was so sore it was hard to swallow, this morning coughing up shite. I went to work but we tend to pass stuff around in the office so he told me to go home.

Just finished character creation on Tyranny.

Character creation sure took a while. A sorceress type of main is what I typically go with, and Tyranny will be no different. Went with shock + atrophy as my main skills. Did the history thing, and now the game has begun. Haven't explored, just messed around with the UI. Create your own spells? Whaaat? I'll dig more into this tomorrow.

sbr2, just curious, what kind of mage did you go with? I'm wondering if I should have doubled down on either sparks, or frost instead of going with two different skill paths.

I went with lightning control. With that + high lore skill you can whip up some fun variations of known spells

I went archer and I'm bored. Recovery takes too long, it's not as strategic as turn based but not as fun and action packed as real time action

I'm faulting the game because you make shitty character choices.

I'm having a lot of fun with my mage playthrough, high lore = OP spell combinations

YES, all you need is Lore! What I would love to find is a sigil that allows me to cast fireballs instead of searing fists.

Is this game worth the price tag? Looks like it should be 20-30

You'll find that sigil, and a lot more too

Well that was fricking disappointing.

It just...ended. I wasn't nearly as thorough as possible because I didn't have the time to be, but I felt pretty certain I was 10+ hours away from the storyline being over.

And then it was done. I figured I'd put in some serious time this weekend exploring and completing. But then it was just done. And the ending was pretty anticlimactic, IMO. I didn't even claim all the damn spires. It was just over.

I'm unhappy. This feels like an installment plan free to play MMORPG or something. Like I'm missing something and have to find some way to mindlessly grind for a few months until the next story release comes out. Obsidian fricked up, IMO.

In my first play I wasn't impressed and haven't gone back to it yet, it certainly isn't Pillars. I have been looking for something to keep me busy since it's been a slow game year so maybe I will play Pillars again since it's been over a year.

I still haven't finished Tyranny yet, but so far it has only made me want to re-play Pillars. I'm just not entirely comfortable with the whole 'be the bad guy' type of story.

I've also been toying with the idea of starting up a complete run through the Dragon Age series, starting with DA:O.

Not sure I could do DA:O again, but maybe. II which people shite on I enjoyed and Inquisition is fantastic are two I will play again but my last play through was too recent.

The game ended quite early, I agree. With a rather vague setup for future DLC/Sequels. There are bits I liked (magic in general was very well done) and bits I didn't like (holy hell AI party members are idiots).
