Thinking about buying Xbox one X to play with my son. Help

Your son would be happier with a switch. All those huge AAA titles like mentioned in an above post with super complex plots and what not will go straight over his head.


If you are gonna start him out though with a XBOXX, then make his first game cuphead.

I wouldnt get a switch for a 7 year old.. Not because of games, but the hardware.

Whats your kid into? Sports? Minecraft? Any of the Lego games? Zoo Tycoon?


You can go the nintendo route which is a good choice, but get a Wii U for cheap. Grab a regular controller for it. Then he'll have access to tons of Wii and Wii U games. Without the risk of breaking the tablet... which is the console.

My son is 5 and plays mine with me. He is really into the Lego games, especially Lego Jurassic World and one of the Lego Marvel games.

If you haven't purchased it yet do not order it through Amazon Prime.

Ordered mine on Friday with an expected Wednesday arrival. Today, Wednesday they updated to let me know that I will not be receiving one through them till Mid-December.

Canceled it and now I am ordering expedited shipping through Target.

Best Buy was also sold out within a 250 mile radius of me.
