And one I liked that gets a lot of hate: Castlevania Legacy of Darkness. That being said I wish they had realized that every game didn’t have to be 3D.
I hated that game. However, in its defense it could be because it came after the PS Symphony of the Night, which was phenomenal.

Zelda Ocarina of Time
Donkey Kong 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Goldeneye
Mmm, for the 5th. I don’t remember playing it that much. But I’ll go with Perfect Dark. Because I have some very strong memories of it

I don’t get the love for this game. The backtracking to kollect everything with five different kharacters was exhausting after a few worlds. I really like the koncept of an open-world DK Island, but I feel that the execution and system design was lacking in this attempt.

Well, you obviously never been in the pre-game pit matches were you’d have to fight your sister to the pain to decide what world you were going to and which character you were taking and how y’all were going to split the play time

This is true!
I honestly liked it well enough at first as a kid, but I strongly believe this was the first game I ever ran across that crushed my desire to 100% the content.

The characters and their different abilities were a big hit for me at the time. We all knew DK and Diddy, but Chunky, Tiny, and Lanky were all fun and hilarious additions with all the personality the team gave them.
The gameplay was fun and my first introduction to 3D platforming. I just happened to get DK64 instead of Mario 64, I didnt play Mario until a few years later and while it was great, it wasnt as mind blowing as when I first played DK 64 for my first 3D experience.
Yes its gotten a bad rap as a collect-a-thon, but you dont have to 100% the game to beat it, only the rareware and nintendo coins are annoying/time consuming, other than that it's not too bad.
