I don't get y they call him Calamity Ganon.

An event does not equal an entity?

Well, Ganon was a man, while Calamity Ganon is more like an unstoppable force. He doesn't seem to have any desires that a person would have. Ganon did though. Ganon in past games could be reasoned with, but not this version. He's lost all traces of any basic humanity. All he is now is a force of pure evil and malice.

Always thought Ganon was the spirit/beast thing and Ganondorf was the man?

Well yeah, but Ganon could transform back into Ganondorf as he pleased. He also had a darkly affable personality in his portrayals. He is now the complete monstrous package who seemingly has no desires. He's a rabid animal whose only purpose is to destroy the world.

He's now up there with Giygas and Majora as Nintendo's most fricked up villain.

How many you have on your side? I just finished up the first one yesterday. So 1/4. They really don't play by the ole 3 hit rule in this Zelda title.

Finished Ruta / Zora's domain.

Pretty sweet . I really enjoyed the entire sequence, from meeting Sidon to the end.

Then like 4 sidequests open up of course.

Damn I want to sell these diamonds but I hear there is a jeweler somewhere in gerudo Valley who makes earrings out of gems.

Well I just saved my first of the four ancient beast. I did the Zora first. The story between Link and Mophie(?) made me care more about the Zora princess than Zelda

Ancient armor...guardians can no longer one hit kill me when I have full hearts. However they leave me with only 1/4 heart

I have no interest in going inside the castle but holy shite are there a lot of guardians around there. I was killing them to collect their shite. There is a one hit way to kill them

I'm thinking this is tens of thousands of years after the Wind Waker,

I doubt it. Most evidence points to it being in either the Child(execution) timeline or the Downfall timeline. There's a direct quote from Zelda in one of the memories about Twilight that pretty much seals the deal that it's the child timeline though. Takes place probably 10,000 years after TP.

Hyrule was flooded in the adult timeline (Wind Waker, PH, Spirit Tracks) and eventually everyone leaves it behind so I doubt it's from that one.

Getting inside the castle is the coolest experience ever. The hype is real once you breach the door and the music kicks in.

I was, what I thought, a pretty good distance away from the castle when two of those bastards came running up to me and shot me with their laser off the back of my damn horse. I haven't gone back since

If that's the one in the Zora area, frick that guy.

I fee like I am missing so much on the map that I have already revealed yet I just keep wandering off into new areas.
