This is directed more towards those who are showing these pictures of studios and how "woke" they are, every single game you have played and loved over the last 15 or 20 years have been made by studios just like those. The gaming industry is very liberal. Just how it is. I used to follow a lot of gaming journalists or personalities on twitter, but have had to unfollow a lot because of how preachy they get, especially when Trump has one of his moments. Hell, I started following Mark Hamill because I heard his twitter was pretty good, but 75% of his posts were about the impeachment proceedings. You can ignore or get triggered. I'm 42 with a family, so all I have time for is ignore.

There's a difference between advocating for civil liberties and equal rights and shoehorning identity politics into the fabric of games.
Those older dev teams back in the late 90s and early 200s didn't concern themselves with anything like that - they were just a bunch of nerds making games. Sure, they may have supported gay rights and women's rights, but they didn't obsess about it and let it infect their work. They didn't make Chief a black lesbian in Halo:CE just to make a political statement. They just wanted to make a cool sci-fi story with kick arse gameplay.
Contrast that to the Neil Druckmann, the Creative Director for the Last of Us Part II.. He talks about how he has a social obligation with his games to not over-sexualize female characters because of how it's inherently misogynistic. He then talks about watching Anita Sarkeesian's content and how it influenced the creative direction for the game.

That stuff is a political statement for you. For a lot of people, it's the way the world is and they have no problem representing it. I don't have to play it, but I don't have issue if that's what they want to do.

Disagree. I don’t agree with gay shite, but it exists and it’s something I have to co-exist with. Video games having a gay romance option are fine and is not shoehorning anything into a game imo, because it’s giving me the choice to pursue.
Not the case in regards to the writing for this TLOU2 and I won’t be buying it solely because of that. If others do it’s whatever. People are going to enjoy what they like, but it’s going to be another instance of sky screaming from writers and devs that toxic masculinity killed the game which is what I have an issue with — being told that I’m misogynistic, etc because I don’t want to play a game with a freaking tranny in it.

shite seems slimy to me now.
My problems with TLOU2 have nothing to do with the gendering or the lack of tits and straights.
The story is garbage, and you play half the game as a person you have a visceral urge to disembowel. They are basically making you be Negan, immediately after he murders Glenn (before he was fleshed out at all). . .and making you hunt down Rick.

Yes I know, but the body model is not even relatively achievable by a ‘survivalist’ in modern society. It’s pretty clear what they are going for here.
