Won't lie. Watching the beginning stuff with Joel and his brother riding into the settlement and playing the guitar was actually pretty cool

The universe they built and the story going into this game had a lot of potential

Hopefully HBO pulls a reverse GoT with that: Rather than ignoring big plot points in the source material and having the screen product suffer, they ignore big plot points in the source material and it’s better off.
Or they’ll likely do what the game should have done and follow a different set of characters. Although I’m not really sure what the point of a TLOU series is anyways - the HBO version of The Walking Dead? Meh.

Jason Schreier tweeted that he had talked to some in ND and none of them thought it was someone who actually worked there.

Sony/ND have definitely been working overtime with the media machine to beat the “disgruntled ex-employee” narrative. It’s so obvious it’s a lie given the person leaking had full access to the dev kit. I refuse to believe anything they say. It’s all damage control at this point.
Edit: checked out r/thelastofus. It’s like they’re messing with us. All discussions locked but there are some posts which are pretty much trying to shame everyone who doesn’t like the leaks. It’s asinine.
ITS NOT ABOUT THE DAMN LESBO. It’s the fact that THE NEW LESBO no one gives 2 hot steaming shits about kills the main characters from the first fricking game.
It’s like if some random Bowser minion killed Mario and then the rest of the game you played the minion trying to kill Peach. It’s insane how they thought this was a good idea.
