Took my group like hour and 45 mins to beat it. Its very painful with those tanks and shotgunners waves.

now that the DZ is a warzone, I have some tips to make life easier if you dare to go in solo.

-change your appearance. don't wear bright colors. try to blend into the environment. dark brown, black, grey. not bright green / pink / purple

-don't walk in the middle of the street

-if you see a non-hostile, don't linger around and give them a chance to change their mind. get your loot/dz funds and move on quickly

-use terrain to your advantage. subways, quarantined zones, rooftops, alleyways, inside of buildings. there are intricate details in the map to aid in your daring escapes and Kiting the mobs

-learn the map and where high traffic will be. extraction zones, bosses, division tech, DZ key chests

-Pulse often to see how many threats are around or if you are being followed

-extraction solo is going to be tough. I recommend Survivor Link, and then maybe even Ballistic shield

-move fast. run, dodge, reload behind cover. if you look like a slow idiot in the middle of the street you look like an easy target. If you are moving fast, rolling, zig zagging, and getting in and out of cover with purpose, they may think twice before attacking

-consider a second set of gear that's all stam/armor/exotic resillence , especially for extractions. when you are in the extraction animation you are a sitting duck to every bad thing imaginable.


with all that being said, try to go in as a group. its more efficient. Solo in the DZ is quite thrilling, however....

I farmed the BK so I wouldn't have to go into the DZ to farm gear after they reduced the penalty for going rogue. Predictably, they dropped it too much.

Now I can go do challenge missions and get top tier gear without worrying about the DZ too much

It's crazy to me how people think going rouge should be penalized.

I'd be completely fine if there was no penalty at all. You should know what you're getting into by going in there. I've played both parts, trolled the shite out of people and teamed up with some randoms. If you manage to team up it's going to be hard to get killed regardless.
