Got my 1st non DZ purple drop yesterday, I think they start dropping around level 25.
Learned that if you open up the most expensive wing item 1st you get your specialty for that wing, I thought you had to get 100% but you don't.

So I just started playing 2 nights ago, but my buddy is already level 17. He jumped in with me and all my missions leveled right to the middle. I'm level six, but fighting all lvl 12-13 enemies. I was getting one shot dropped all damn night long. 
But I also jumped up from level 5 to 8 in about 2.5 hours, and was getting drops several levels higher than where I'm currently at.
I am not a shooter based, PVP player in general. But this shite is alot of fun!

Jeff, do you think that bug you were talking about affects gear in your inventory as well? Last night the game was seeming very wonky as I'd have like a backpack that the firearm arrow is red/down, but it would show my dps going up or health or skill. Then, when equipped, it doesn't do what it said it would. I'm assuming it is the same thing as with the crafting? Log out/in to fix?

I've only seen complaints specifically to crafting weapons due to changing firearm stat before zoning into the BoO.
Make sure you arent swapping your primary/secondary weapons or sidearm
Gear mods are straight forward, they add +x to a stat. That stat can only go up.
It could be a display issue as there are numerous. I guess pay attention to the actual numbers when shooting a bad guy to see if there's a difference.
For now I'd recommend not fricking with gear changes inside the BoO until you relog or fast travel from/to. Your case sounds odd and I don't have an answer

I don't understand low review scores for this game. It is a beautifully created world with solid character progression and shooting mechanics. The problem will end up being a lack of content at lvl 30, but the hours you spend getting there make the purchase worth it

Agreed. I've enjoyed it thus far. I mean to me it's Destiny 2.0. It doesn't do anything better than Destiny, pretty much the exact same game, other than Destiny being an FPS.
Same loot system and everything.
I got a solid 1,000+ hours out of Destiny and I played for awhile during this long content drought. If they release content (Incursions in general) somewhat on Destiny's scale I'll certainly stick around.

Could just be small fixes though.
I agree. The path to 30 has been amazing but I worry about a lack of content at endgame. Hopefully incursions and expansions come often

Yea, my biggest fear with the game is they try to rely on the dynamics of the dark zone to carry the game, which just won't happen. They will need to keep bringing new content to the game. Hopefully they learned something from Destiny.

Seems one of his main complaints is that he couldn't go from main mission to main mission because he was underleveled. And he didn't want to do side missions to lvl up.
But then complaints there isn't enough fighting in the streets.
