Man I bought one of those mini SNES things a couple of months ago. I was always a beast at Mario Kart as a kid but is it even possible to win the Special Cup at 150cc? It's all I can do to get 4th on the first level.

I would give up in it as a kid. Never tried as an adult.

It can be done. I remember doing it long ago. But it required many, many replays of Rainbow Road to make it happen. Fall off even once and you're basically finished.

rainbow road is a pain in the arse on 150. i havent played it in a while, but what i always did was just build up enough of a lead so that all i had to do was place on rainbow road to win overall. cant be afraid to throw a race on one of the easier tracks and cost yourself a life just so you can get first next go around. idk who you are playing as, but koopa/toad are the best for this series IMO

time trial is only 100cc, but doing runs on it helps alot with memorizing the track and where all the hidden bumps and stuff are.

I spent a lot of time on that game. Rainbow road was actually one of my favorite courses. It’s probably because anytime I’d race a friend I would smoke them because they would always fall off.

I’m always Koopa but it’s like he loses his turning control on 150, always skidding even on simple turns and the other cars are so much faster

Man there is no way that's legit. He's absolutely flying and barely skids on his turns.

Can't you blame it on being an emulator? Lag and all that? I think it would be awfully difficult on original hardware, let alone using the emulator. Pretty sure I read somewhere that it was virtually impossible to beat Mr. Dream in Punch-Out on the NES Classic. Blame it on that.

Games like this I would own all the levels as a kid.

Nowadays I try and keep driving off the edges in Mario Cart. Or cant help but jump right into the pits on Super Mario Bros.
