Good time to pick up games on the cheap, I am just sad that we don't have anymore Steam virgins on here.

I'm sad they did away with flash sales. Not sure if I'll grab anything. I've been trying to chip away at my backlog a little.

Yeah, now you log in day one and find what you want if anything and then you are done.

And the sales just aren't as good as they used to be, particularly on old GOTY type games. I just checked my Steam purchase history, and I picked up Fallout NV Ultimate ROW for $6.79. I bought every Half Life game/subgame/etc ever made for less than $10 total.

It seems like they don't heavily discount the "older" classics the way they used to.

The Orange Box used to be $10 and it had all the Valve games.

Agreed. I remember getting NV Ultimate during a Quakecon sale for peanuts.

Flash deals, daily deals, community choice, etc. were amazing.

All went away with Steam refund, which I understand why they'd do that, but it still sucks.

I have refunded games, which is a great feature, but not enough.

Orange Box didn't have any of the HL1 games/expansions. It had HL2, Ep1, Ep2, Portal, and TF2.

Obviously still a great deal, but not really an apples to apples comparison.

I just double checked my purchase history and it appears that it was a general Valve sale. I already owned both Portal games, so it looks like I carved out what I wanted:

Team Fortress Classic - $2.99
Opposing Force - $0.59
Half-Life - $1.19
Half-Life: Blue Shift - $0.59
Half-Life 2 - $1.19
Half-Life 1: Source - $1.19
Half-Life 2: Episode One - $0.95
Half-Life 2: Episode Two - $0.95
Subtotal $60.92
Discount -$51.28 (-84%)
Total $9.64

Last few years I haven't pulled the plug on anything with the summer sale.

I've got a week off beginning of July so hoping to find something.

So you won't play it because a lot of people are streaming it?

What are the chances skyrim gets on there?

Just finished a new PC build and I'd rather not pay full price for a game I've already bought twice

It goes on sale for every big Steam sale. I'll be curious to see how deep the discount is, though.

Also, on a related note, why on Earth would you need to buy it again? How have you purchased it the last two times?

360 when it first came out and then years later on Xbox one.

I want to mod the hell out of it on my pc. Only reason I’m planning on buying it.

If it’s anything close to full price, it’s a no-go

$39.99 on GMG the legendary edition which included the upgrades from some of the mods and all three expansions.

quote:

Apart from the fact that Legendary edition includes all three DLCs, it also includes the legendary upgrade.

Basically, now you can level up your skills infinitely and obtain all the abilities from all the trees by levelling up endlessly instead of choosing which ones to take. Earlier you had to take a few select abilities from each tree because the number of skill points was limited(one per level up and I think my character was at level 83 at the end when i played - been some time).
