I hope they add the addition they have discussed where you can throw rucksacks in the back of trucks

So where is the Co-Op/Multiplayer
Second I'm at the Auto Repair Building on the Far North East End of Marshall ... is there somewhere that is better than this place that I should look into moving to? I tried McCready's Farm and didn't like it, too far from resources & outposts.
I haven't been to the fairgrounds I believe nor do I know for sure if the warehouse you are speaking of is where I'm at or if it is the place in the heart of Marshall close to the enclave.

this. running back and forth is a straight up pain
Posted on 6/17/13 at 11:16 am to SaintLSUnAtl
the farm sucks. I thought it would be cool and walking dead(ish). it's not. it's a pain in the arse driving through the fields looking for a hole in the fencing. why cant you plow over wooden fencing??
think im gonna try the sniper fort house in Marshall.
and I wish there was a home in the cul de sac in the elevated part of Marshall.

Well you can still drive when you are carrying a rucksack, so you don't literally have to run back and forth if thats what you meant. But yea it would be sweet if you could load up a truck bed with multiple rucksacks and just go on one massive scavaging trip with out having to keep going back and forth or calling for scavaging assistance all of the time.

There would be zero difficulty in this game if you could put rucksacks in trucks. Unless there were only two trucks in the game.

When scavaging, if I call for assistance, what happens?

one of your community members will run/walk to your location. search the building for about 3-4 minutes. load up a rucksack. then will walk/run home.
it's easier to pick up the rucksack yourself. go to the nearest curb. hold left or right trigger and press the command (i thinkg it's RB) to drop the rucksack.

yeah I'm not a fan of rucksacks in trucks, but if you could be the driver of a scavaging party of let's say 3 other people, drop them in a neighborhood and let them load up and you drive them home after would be more realistic
Posted on 6/17/13 at 12:05 pm to WestlakeTiger
yeh, that and have it to where it's your job to watch the perimeter.
i agree loading more than 1-2 rucksacks into the truck would make it too easy.

I didn't mean running on foot. I meant pick up a bag, drive allllllllll the way back across the map, then drive allllllllll the way back to get the next bag. I found 4 bags at one stop. On the other side of the map
Brannen, its not about difficulty. It's about going back and forth is a pain. Maybe too easy for you but damn...I get an hour a day to play most times. I don't want that entire hour to be spent finding materials and rescuing the survivors who get sent to collect said materials

All this talk about "well do you think this and that would happen during a real apocalypse". Do you think one person would drive a car or truck out, scoop up 5 rucksacks, and leave 4 of them?
Here's how my day goes:
Go find materials.
Get rucksack
Halfway to destination I get a call that someone needs an escort or someone is scared and needs a pep talk
Oh look, infestations and hordes. But you only have a half hour to complete this mission before morale drops
Look, more materials....across the map. Again.
Tell ya what. I'm not even worrie about loading up a truck. Just let someone else give Ed a pep talk or bail Sam out of an infested house so I can do other stuff.
That's what is incredibly unrealistic. You have to do EVERYTHING.

Yeah it would be nice if you could load up 2-3 people with you to go on missions/scouting/scavenging/infestation cleaning runs ... this "It's you & no one else" bullshite is kinda getting old and taking away from the game.
But then I remember it's an XBL Arcade game, I

I'm at a Church. Am I not going to stay at that church?

nah. just for about 3-4 hours of the story line.
once you've cleared out all of the buildings in the town next to the church and pushed the storyline far enough there will be a mission where you go and look for bigger homesites.
don't rush it tho. you'll get destroyed in Marshall, the big town, if you don't have 3-4 good characters and plenty of resources.

All of my people except Maya and the black dude are hurt. I don't know how to fix them.
