Damn that sucks. When I didn't play for around 12 hours a couple of people in other enclaves died but none of mine.
Anyways I moved everyone to a big truck repair place in the city. Has about 6 free slots to build stuff along with included machine repair shop.

Apparently there is an infestation glitche where they will have infestations all over the map even if not in your immediate local. This will bring down morale and cause people to wander off. Marcus and the sharpshooter chick bothwandered off on ttheir own. Both of their backpacks were also apparently recovered as all of their shite is in the store room. I'm now just running all the remainder of my shitty characters into hordes to see what happens when everyone dies.

Uh oh, hope that gets fixed ASAP. I usually leave when my group has high morale bit that isn't much of a guard against a glitch.

There is an article on it online. On my phone or would post.

Yea, I'd like to be able to clear out an area at least for a few in game days. Now I can't get anyone to man my watch tower after upgrading it.

still doing well.
- i've got 2 extra groups of survivors so 17 people i think in the community.
- built infirmary, upgraded it.
- built workshop, upgraded it.
- upgraded to a sniper tower.
marcus is a monster on all stats.
maya is also very good, especially with guns.
i got a guy named ashton who's pretty decent as well. great stamina and weapons.
i still don't have a large back pack or anything other than pistols and shotguns. i've searched and cleared every building in the city next to the church.

Ive had people go missing or die while I'm not playing and its frustrating as hell. I had 12 people at one time and now I have 6.

I've got about 5 large bags sitting in storage right now
I've got a distraction mission that won't recognize me using firecrackers at all. It is to get rid of an infestation. I hope it doesn't screw me over night.

I was going to get the game tomorrow but having a gamemove along without me does not fit my lifestyle at all. I am an adult with job and family commitments and I only play about twice a week. Seems like this game is more for the gamer who can play most days. I would love to hear from someone who plays this game 2 or 3 times a week is this going to be a huge frustration.

That might end up happening to me. The longer you are off the slower the game moves apparently. It is easy to get caught up in the side missions and not move the story along is what I am finding.

Found a decent strategy for the serial crushers. Hit it twice and then jump out of the way. If you get low on stamina just walk around until it builds up. Rinse repeat.
And I don't know how much I like the idea of losing characters while off line. If I lose my stud character while not playing I will be pissed.

I was off for about an hour to watch the 2nd half of the Finals. I come back to needing to immediately rescue and escort Maya who apparently was on a mission on her own while I was away.
and for whatever reason my morale is steadily dropping. I don't have any major side missions or things they are asking for or anyone mad/upset.

Could be the infestation glitch someone mentioned earlier. There is no way I should go from full morale with a ton of supplies to low with people missing in a little over 12 hours irl

yeh, there is an infestation not too far off, but no one has said anything about it

I'll be sad if my marcus dies while I am away mainly because he is the only character I use. Who needs to switch when you can pump him full of energy drinks and amphetamines.

Infestation houses suck. Id rather leave them and move out. Frick morale. Every man for himself!

I started over and got caught up very quickly last night. I likely won't play for days now though. Is there any way to stop the game from progressing without me?

I'm guessing not at this point. Otherwise it wouldn't be a concern for anyone.
I really enjoy the game, but knowing that shite still goes on while I'm not there is a big negative for me. I would understand if it was an MMO or something, but it's a single player XBLA game. No need to progress if I'm not playing. I want to know everything that goes on within my game. I don't want people dying and the story progressing and then I'm like WTF 2 days later. shite going down while I'm away and rummaging houses or rescuing survivors is one thing. But while my xbox if turned off and I'm away for a day or two? Just stupid. I don't know why they would think this is a good idea.
Hopefully they make a patch for this b/c it's a terrible aspect to the game IMO.
I'll probably play it here and there, but until I read how it affects others' games I'm not sure I can get in to it like I was at first. I don't want to build up good will and supplies only to come back 3 days later and find I have to go another BS medical run and 3 of my people have died. I would probably just quit playing at that point.
Found some info on the subject. Not sure how accurate or helpful any of it might be:
